| Leo� is� currently�residing in Sta. Mesa, Manila and presently connected with the Department of Energy� (DOE),� Energy�� Center,�� Merritt�� Road,��� Fort Bonifacio,�� Taguig,�� Metro� Mania.� He� graduated� from the University of Southern Mindanao,� Kabacan, Cotabato with a degree of B.S. in� Agri-Business and earned his Master in Government Management degree at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. His involvement in the DOE is on the green energy i.e. solar, wind,� microhydro, biomass� and� other� renewable energy from 1994-2003. Now at the Rural Electrification Administration & Mgt Division, DOE as a Senior Science Research Specialist, monitoring and evaluating project proposals coming from all power plants in Mindanao. Leo is the son of Federico G. Carias and Justina C. Suan both of Negros Oriental, more details about the Carias family please click here. Federico has one elder brother named Severo and an only sister named Anon. Leo's father left Negros Oriental on the late 40's together with his mother bound for Cotabato and eventually settled in Bagontapay, Mlang, Cotabato. Bored and hopeless not to own a land, the family moved to Malangag, Antipas, Cotabto. Luckily, the family owned less than five hectares of land in the said place. There was a time that Federico was very desirous to go on vacation together with Luding, Leo's older brother, but they were not able to push through with their plans because of financial difficulties that besetted the family. Federico died without seeing his two siblings, Severo and Anon. The family was then eager and excited to see Papa Vero (Papa instead of uncle as we used to call our them and Mama for aunties ), Mama Anon and cousins since the time Papa told us that he have siblings, all the while we thought Papa was alone. Only two of us able to meet Papa Vero before he passed away and how the family missed him now and also Papa only Mama Anon is surviiving, hope the rest of the family would be able to see her before her final journey. |
| He is a� follower� of Jesus Christ�� and� attending� a� place� of� worship� at� the Jesus is Lord Church (JIL). Likewise, he's� actively involved in the� Spiritual� Growth� Ministry� of JIL.
