We are having our usual good time.  Tomorrow we motor into New York Harbor probably the greatest experience in boating. We will be at Lincoln Harbor Yacht Club.  Our usual location of Liberty Landing Marina was sold out to a local yacht club. We have been motoring thru New Jersey the last two days. What an experience. The waterway is shallow, the fisherman number in the hundreds, no one slows down to pass you, so we were constantly taking on hugh waves.  There are thousands of homes on stilts on the water.  It is like taking a taxi in Manhattan. I love it.

We are in Brewerton, NY on the West side of Oneida Lake part of the Erie Canal.  Mona just saw a hugh fish jump out of the water.  Yes we had a pleasant Father's Day spent 10 hours boating.  We have two days to doodle until we take Snug to friend Bob McClure's home for docking while we go to DM for 4 days.  We will give Mom your love.  Give our love to Kirby.

7-1-02

We are in Lyons, NY.  We have had a great trip on the Erie Canal.  Bob McClure has been a big help in making the trip better.  Jim and Sue Richardson left yesterday after a delightful week traveling with us.  We attended a Renaissance Festival on June 29th. It runs thru August 11th.  It has permanent quarters so it has permanent buildings.  It is in the forest near a river and is the best any of us have attended.  It was mostly in the shade so it was pleasant weatherwise.  It is in Sterling, NY and is worth the trip.  We have visited the Finger Lakes of New York and Lake Ononaganda. The Erie Canal is our favorite of all the places we have cruised on.We have added a Follow Me system to our satellite TV so that when we stop for the night we just push a button and we have our 200 stations.  Also when the boat moves the Follow Me follows the signal so we don't lose it.
