Life

On this fine autumn day, I am thinking.
Thinking of a dear friend
Who is face to face with sickness.
Facing this ciment wall and thinking
How injust this is.

Why do we have to face Sickness?
Would it be for us to grow and learn from it.
Why is it touching those we love the most?
What is the lesson to be learn from it?
Would it be a little reminder of our limits?

Memories of watching my dad
Going threw the same, many years ago.
Knowing well that technology is much better now.
I can't help worrying for him.
This is the main essence of caring for someone.

Caring, a human feeling, that can't be reproduce.
Each human that touch us create a nuclear reaction.
Blood in our vein rush to the heart,
The main muscle that keeps us alive and alert.
Alert to the feelings of others surrounding us.

We all know that some people touch us in special ways.
It could start off very innocently,
To grow as a wonderful special relationship.
A relationship as rich as we let it grow.
A garden of love and caring.

Sometimes we are the teacher, sometimes the learner.
My dear friend shows me how to care,
How to respect others no matter who they are.
My friend helps me to look at myself,
Reach inside myself and smile to the world.

I have been bless to meet a friend on my path of life.
I hope deep inside that I am a blessing.
I would be more than willing to take the pain for you.
Both with so different background, we learn to respect each other.
This is a lesson that the world can learn from us.

There is no word in my vocabulary to describe you.
If I would have to choose two words,
I would go with CARING and LOVING.
Why?  I watch you caring and loving for your human kind.
Never think twice to help someone in trouble.
Never hesitate to share yourself with others.

My dear friend, as I sit here, all I can say,
Get well and soon you will be back, healthy and ready to go again.
I pray in my heart that you get well again.
Let me water my lily so you regain energy again.

Your friend
Robert
