Sculpture. |

So far i have only produced 1 sculpture. It was part of my A Level course and i decided to make my sculpture Beatles related, mainly because it is personal to myself!
We were given the title 'Sculpture' which was free and easy for us to develop this title in any way we wished. |

I decided that music was the best theme to go with and so I thought of making a sculpture that is Beatles related!
At first it was hard to think of an idea which would work and look effective, but then i thought that the Abbey Road album cover would be a good idea to develop. |

This picture is of the four Beatles, which were made from wood and cardboard. To hold each one in place i used a thin wooden pole, which went at the back of each figure.
The figures are painted Black and White to represent the zebra crossing on teh Abbey Road album cover. |

The background was going to be the same as the album cover, but a more simple design.
Colour is a very important factor and I thought that i would need a bright and bold for the figures to stand out. So, i came up with the idea of having a multi-coloured background! |

This was the final design. I made a small version of the sculpture to demonstrate what the real, full size sculpture would look like.
I thought the colours of the background really helped the Black and White figures stand out, which is what was intended. |
