HOW WE FIXED THE EA
1. Me and Dad bogged all the dints - 3 massive tins of bog (about 30 minor dints, 4 major)
2. Then we sanded em down, some needed doing twice
3. we sprayed over em so they were perfectly flat
4. We stripped the car, all but the motor
5. I bought a blue paint with purple pearl through it, it looks more purple than blue nearly all of the time. also the undercoat, thinners, a spray gun and compressor
6. We sprayed it in the back yard
7. I was made redundant from my job - the car stayed in the back yard
8. I got a job - the car was finished about 2 weeks later. The painting all up probably took about 4-6 weeks.
9. I changed the hubcaps for 2nd hand (but in good nick) stocko alluminium ford 17inch rims (they're fatter too)
10. Took the shitty exhaust off
11. I picked up a 2.5inch exhaust from another EA and got it fitted with a tip (cost heaps less than it would have new)
12. Got a new radiator from the same wreckers and shoved it in
13. Got new headlights off another EA someone was wrecking
14. Painted the black plate on the boot cause it was grey
15. baught trim from the wreckers and put it on ourselves (like most things)
16. Put the original insides back in cause they were in good nick, just cleaned it all up, especially the carpet
17. put all the lights etc back on the outside and put in a new windscreen - DONE
