Hale is a band from the Philippines, composed of Champ Lui Pio (vocals and guitars), Roll Martinez (vocals and guitars), Sheldon Gellada (bass), and Omnie Saroca (drums). On July 2004, Hale was formed.also, Instead of going indie and performing in underground gigs, Hale focused on playing their originals. With only less than half a year playing as a band, Hale was signed on November by EMI Philippines. On the first quarter of 2005, Hale released their first single Broken Sonnet along with their self-titled debut album. It was not until their second single The Day You Said Goodnight that Hale stared to gain attention from music aficionados around the Philippines.

6cyclemind (or Six Cycle Mind) is a Filipino band composed of Ney Dimaculangan on lead vocals, Rye Sarmiento on rhythm guitars and backup vocals, Chuck Isidro on lead guitars, Bob Cañamo on bass and Tutti Caringal on drums. Their music can be labelled as a fusion of alternative music and pop music. They have successfully released two albums under Sony BMG Records Philippines -- Permission to Shine (2003) and Panorama (2005)..

Sponge Cola is a Filipino rock band founded by Yael Yuzon and Gosh Dilay during their high school years at Ateneo De Manila University. Between 1998 to 2002, Ysmael "Yael" Yuzon, met Reynaldo "Gosh" Dilay through the school's theater guild, Teatro Baguntao. Yael was then the frontman of a rock band called White Chapel together with some talented individuals in Ateneo High School. Nevertheless, he decided to form a band with Gosh and two other members of the theater guild. They named the group Sponge after R.S. Surtee's Mr. Sponge's Sporting Tour. The band won in several high school competitions boosting their popularity not just in their school but in other campuses, as well.

Kamikazee is a rock band from the Philippines band composed of Jay Contreras (Lead Vocalist), Jomal Linao (Guitars/Back-up Vocals), Led Zeppelin Tuyay (Guitars), Jason "Puto" Astete (Bass Guitar) and Allan "Bords" Burdeos (drums). The band is composed of five members who met in college at the College of Fine Arts of the University of the Philippines Diliman. Kamikazee's early gigs were mostly campus events in UP Diliman like the annual UP Fair. Before they were signed for their first album, they had performed the songs "Chinelas", a cover of Ariel Rivera's "Sana Kahit Minsan," and Britney Spears' Lucky on their shows. They were known for using expletives, suggestive movements, and references to genitalia in their UP Diliman performances.

Parokya ni Edgar is a Filipino band that was formed in 1993 by a group of Ateneo high school students. The band is famous and most lauded for its original rock novelty songs and often satirical covers of famous songs. With several years in the music scene, it has transcende musical genres, varying styles from one to another - alternative rock to pop rock, funk to rapcore, and so on without leaving behind its trademark style of providing comic relief to their listeners. Naming themselves Comic Relief, the band members were originally composed of five - Chito Miranda, Vinci Montaner, Gab Chee-Kee, a certain Miko and Jerick. Their after-school jamming honed their musical skills, thus making themselves worthy enough to deserve the opening number for an Eraserheads concert. However, the band would've been incomplete without a bassist and a drummer. Luckily, Dindin Moreno and Buwi Meneses, who were enthusiastic enough to join the group, filled in the empty slots.

Cueshé is an OPM pop/rock band that originally hail from Cebu in the Philippines. Ruben Caballero later joined the group. At first, he, together with Jay, was only on vocals. But later on, he shifted into greater heights, as he became a rhythm guitarist/vocalist. The pianist/keyboardist Jhunjie Dosdos then came into the band to showcase his talent he honed during his younger days.

 

Rocksteddy is an alternative rock Filipino band recording on 12stone Records, which is a Sony-BMG imprint. Formerly known as Acoustic Faith, Rocksteddy was born in March 2003. The band has presently launched "Lagi Mo Na Lang Akong Dinededma," "Gising Na," and the Close Up Jingle "Smile at Me" as their singles. They have also been commissioned to provide the theme song titled "Superhero" for the ABS-CBN fantasy show Super Inggo.
