Introduction
Domain 5.2 requires that the teacher establish a mentor relationship within the educational field in order to improve instruction. The domain additionally requires that the teacher works with peers in an acountability realationship also to enhance instruction.

Exhibit Explanation
•The department meeting notes show that monthly meetings are held and that they involve discussion of end of course exams and instructional problems and how to address them.
•The study group meets once monthly and discusses various methods to improve instruction and accountability.
•The Assessment Day Field Experience Forms present
a record of meetings between Mark Gianfermi, my principal and mentor,
and myself.
Rationale
These exhibits show that relationships exist between myself, peers and mentor that deal with using accountability measures in addition to other means to improve instruction.
Self-Evaluation and Reflection
The relationships are in place and have resulted in changes in my instructional methods. The Foreign Language Department is currently writing end of course exams to be put in place as soon as possible. The addition of these tests should enable us to evaluate our instruction through student learning more accurately.
