Students: Teachers of Foreign Languages:
1. are individuals and learn in different ways and at different rates.

§ has the knowledge of the grammatical (phonological, morphological, and syntactical) structures of the foreign language necessary for fluent communication (3K2)

§ has extensive knowledge of the foreign culture(s), including both the practices within the culture(s) and the products of the culture(s) (3K3)

§ values maintaining a high level of proficiency in using the language (3D2)

§ understands the relationship between English and the foreign language(s) he/she teaches (9K2)

§ uses the foreign language extensively and expects the students to do likewise (3P2)

4. are involved in professional development, use best practices and align curriculum to state and national standards.
