Key Historical Events.
At an as yet
undetermined time, c.20,000 BCE, a landmass currently referred to as 'Lemuria'
existed in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. This landmass may have been an
Australia-type island in its own right, or it may have been a single landmass
encompassing what is now Australia, New Guinea and parts of Indonesia and the Philippine
Islands. Archeological evidence of this sea-faring society has been found
scattered around the world, but concentrated in the Indian subcontinent, and
the Pacific coastal regions of North and South America. Whether this island
ceased to exist as a result of a catastrophic end of the last glacial period,
or through some other agency is currently unknown.
In the early
part of the twentieth century, Colonel James Churchward of the British Royal
Army published the first references in English to Lemuria, identifying and
detailing some of its artifacts and symbols, and presenting his theories as to
its demise and later disposition.
On September 9,
2001 CE, the 'resurrection' of the Empire of Lemuria was proclaimed in Dallas,
Texas, United States of America, North American Continent, by Michael Andrew
Cessna, styling himself as Regent of the Empire and Captain-General of the
Realm, at the same time adopting the lapsed familial honorific 'de' to his last
name, in full recognition of the fact that no 'hard' evidence for a historical
empire or state of that name existed.
As of the
publication of this edition, the government and nation are being organized. adp.
