ok, so now i have under a week until i head off to the united kingdom of great britain and ireland. well, i can't remember the official title of the u.k....it's the "united kingdom of great britian and _____," but i can't remember it. oh well. i think it will be engrained me in a week anyways, that should be good enough for us!
today's been a rather boring day i suppose...just lots of packing and errands. i talked with my boyfriend for the first time in a few days; it's weird to think that both of us ran the same errands today inadvertantly: getting bank statements, photocopying important documents, getting passport photos. it was just a sweet little connection that made me happy, you know? especially with all of the stress of packing and stuff... ack! so much to do, and so little time! but i just want to watch t.v....heh.
i still haven't decided if overpacking or underpacking is the key to success. right now it's underpacking. i'm pretending i'm going on a two week trip. so it's actually 2 weeks x 12, same difference, huh? maybe that will cause me to only pack basic necessities. however, one of my bags is already half full and i have yet to go through clothes. should i be concerned? who knows? there are a lot of other documents and books i have to bring: my guides, info. about insurance, etc. i guess it makes sense, although it sure does seem weird. for all you guys who are used to packing to study abroad, how much is too much? how much is normal? is it strange that i'm packing peanut butter...at the expense of shampoo & conditioner (note to my future suitemates: don't worry, i do wash!)...i have my stuffed animal and some pictures to decorate my walls...what about sheets? and slippers? and shoes? what should i bring? ACKK! i don't want to feel homesick! can i bring a blanket from home? and another stuffed animal? should i bring favorite foods? or books? HELP!!!! i'm suffering from packing paranoia!!
