| Galapagos is the home for Producer/Engineer/Musician Joel Gitta. It is a place to look at things differently, and excel beyond limitations of time and money. It is a project studio for creation of freshly innovative recordings. No Project is too big to handle here. The goal is to achieve the greatest results possible. All recordings here are done in a relaxed state with no pressures of the clock ticking. It is the perfect place for experimentation. My goal is to help make records that sound like themselves and to help indentify the artists true sound. The rates are extremely affordable, and I am willing to negotiate depending on the project. This is unlike any other place. |
| Services Offered: - Pre Production Indepth analysis of material before recording. Sit-down with producer and map out the recording for whatever artistic reasons. May involve demo-ing songs rough or just pen & paper notes. - Demo Recording For pre-production purposes or just for an inexpensive way of getting the songs down so you can hear them. Basic recording, very affordable. Call for a quote - Full Session Recording. Full out hard work. This is where I believe that time and money should keep apart. A song or record is not finished until it feels complete. $25/hour, different packages available. Call for a quote. - Contract Producer Hire me to work on your project anywhere. I frequently do this at: Crosscurrent Productions . I am always able to find any sound or tone desired and I have lots of creative thought. I look at every project as it's own individual work instead of relating it to existing material, unless of course.. that is what is wanted. - Mastering - Vinyl to Cd Transfer - Live Sound - Film Score &/or Musical Arrangement (and obviously not web design) |

| Galapagos is named after a novel by Kurt Vonnegut. The story is told by a ghost 1 million years in the future, but takes place in the present day. A very satirical book about a few people who go on a cruise not knowing the apocalypse is happening and become stranded on the Galapagos Islands. (I hate giving away books). Being prisoners of the island and the only people left in the world (which they don't know), they begin re-populating as well as evolving to adapt to their surroundings. Very funny yes. |
