Dr. Frankenstein�s monster was a very original portrayal of a zombie which most modern zombie movies base theirs upon. Slow, dim witted, yet strong and fierce. Frankenstein�s monster does not need to eat humans like many other zombie portrayals do. What�s most intriguing is that the monster has an emotional capacity and compassion for others especially the very young, old and handicapped. The monster is fearful of fire and seems to have the mentality of a young child who doesn�t understand or fear death. However he is not an undead zombie because he is alive (IT�S ALIVE!) due to an electric shock that stimulated cell growth and metabolism. Basically a simple version of a Neanderthal with super human strength is the most similar comparison that comes to mind. The monster is not evil nor does he wish any harm to others but due to his intimidation factor people are forced to take arms against him due to his careless understanding of the fragile nature of life in humanity. |
