| ADHD I never thought i'd see the day When my son would grow up in the same way Although at the time my brother was 11 And Sauls now fast approaching 7 He does the same things And has the same thoughts Will i be just like my mum And end up in the courts When i was young i was first to jump in I tried hard to protect didn't think of the effects But it was a waste of time cos he'd always win There wasn't a label then like ADHD They were classed as bullies spoilt or just full of energy Two black eyes and plenty of blushes The result of verbal abuse shoves and pushes ADHD can run in families mainly in boys constant crying arguing not forgetting broken toys Thank god as sisters we had each other We all made a pact and stuck together We decided he'd never hit any of us again We were all prepared and we'd all do time Cos the constant raised fist and pulling out knives would not be forgotten after all it's a crime I just hope my son gets the freedom he had To do what he wants after all he's a lad But times have changed And i can't let my son out So i keep him indoors where frustration sets in There he kicks screams and shouts And so resembles a lout I've been there before History's repeating itself I'm trying so hard not to let things get that bad Cos it's not just those two whos got ADHD It's 3 times as bad cos so has Sauls dad |
