Obituary for Frances Christine Lemke May

NORFOLK- Mrs. Frances Lemke May, the widow of Navy CWO Garth (Jack) May, died in a Fort Worth, Texas hospital Friday.
She was the daughter of Mrs. Marie Lemke Madigan and the late George F. Lemke, Sr. A native of Annapolis, Maryland, she lived here for 38 years. She lived lately with her mother at 6201 Sedgefield Drive, Norfolk.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Fleet Reserve Unit 60, Ladies Auxiliary to American Legion Post 327, and Norview Eastern Star Chapter 131.
Surviving, besides her mother, are a daughter, Mrs. Walter Rooks of Norfolk; a foster son, Marine Corps Sgt. Donald R. Scott of Cherry Point, N.C.; two brothers, George F. Lemke, Jr. of Hampton and Albert E. Lemke of Norfolk; three step-brothers, Frank Madigan of Portsmouth, Navy Cmdr. James Madigan in Vietnam and Joseph A. Madigan of Arlington; and a granddaughter.
A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home by the Rev. Edmond Marroni of Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with rites by the Ladies Auxiliary to American Legion Post 327.
Memorial rituals will be held in the funeral home tonight at 7:45 p.m. by Fleet Reserve Unit 60 Auxiliary and at 8:00 p.m. by Norview Eastern Star Chapter 131.
