Mary Tingle Lemke, 76, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, North Carolina. A native of Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Cleveland Tingle, Sr., and Agnes Kathleen Berry Tingle. Additionally, she was the step-daughter of the late Hattie Strange Tingle. She was a retired personnel manager with NASA at Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, where she was a resident for thirty years. She was past president of Rosewood Home Extension Club and past secretary of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Father John T. Gavin will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Goldsboro, North Carolina. She is survived by her husband, George F. Lemke, Jr.; daughter, Kathleen L. Haun; son, William D. Lemke; brothers, William C. Tingle, Jr. and Andrew Jackson Tingle; foster son, William W. Scott; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Surely goodness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
