Yep, we're official now.

Just as the end of 2001 was drawing to a close, the Lemites were given autonomy, official affiliation status, and a designation as LEM (44).

At that time I wrote: "2002 portends to be a time of great change". It is, but not in the way anyone expected.

The proposed move of BSE into the future then became a whole new game, placed thousands of years in the future. A particular (now a former) SMG employee gleefully announced the demise of BSE. Finito - end of story. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.

Well, the demise of BSE was somewhat exaggerated. It's wounded, but it's not dead yet. And the Lemites are still around.

The historical information on these pages were culled from the old CompuServe PBM Gamer's Forum, the original BSE History, old Imperial Digest issues, survey blurbs and information collected from various players and former GMs over the period of nineteen or so years. There's too many of you to list and many names I have forgotten, but you all have the Lemites' deepest gratitude.
