    • Lemerle Standard Poodles has been breeding and showing top-quality Standard Poodles for over 30 years. Most of our dogs have been black, but in the last 20 years we have also been interested in the pastel colors of silver and blue. Producing healthy, beautiful, sound dogs with the correct Poodle temperament (stable, sensible and intelligent), that can perform any kind of work or play, is our aim. All our dogs are OFA certified free of hip dysplasia, CERF registered free of eye defects, DNA tested clear of von Willebrand's disease, sebaceous adenitis and thyroid disease. We give written replacement guarantees with our puppies. All of our pet / companion puppies are sold on neutering agreements and non - breeding (limited) AKC registration. Our dogs are now in many countries around the world. We are proud of our many American and International Champions as well as our obedience, agility and OUR FIRST HUNT TRIAL champion and first DOUBLE MACH champion (Lemerle Crystal Lite). Now we have our second Hunt Trial Champion, Ch. Lemerle Silk Cashmere. Welcome to our first Bichon Frise!

    • Our sad news is the death of our beloved silver Am. Can. Ch. Lemerle French Silk (Monique) in March 2005 after a long and healthy life. She remains the top winning silver of all time and she was the Top Producer of ten American champions. Sadly missed by Gary and I as she was the heart and soul of our silver dogs, and remained sharp and beautiful until the end. Her details are below.

She is daughter of multiple BIS winner Ch. PaRay's Provocative, and 1/2 sister to multiple BIS winner Ch. PaRay's Paragon (Number 1 Bichon for 2006 and 2007). So we have high hopes for our Roxie!     • THE COLOR BLUE! I am often asked about the color blue and how it differs from silver. Our CH. LEMERLE FRENCH AZOTIQUE (Zoe, daughter of our silver Am.Can.Ch. Lemerle French Silk, Monique) is pictured in the 2008 Poodle Review Stud Issue (Jan-Feb/March-Apr 2008), page 42. This is one of the best reproductions of a photo of one of our adult blue Standard Poodles. Zoe is a Top Producer, mother and grandmother of many beautiful blue and silver Poodles.

    • LEMERLE AZ MUSIQUE PLAYS (Maestro - blue) repeated the above wins on September 17, 2006 at Wichita KC under judge Thomas Carneal. Congratulations Jill!

    • CH. LEMERLE LITE OF THE MOON (Monte - white) finished his championship on September 18, 2006 by winning BW for a major at the Greater Collin KC in Dallas, TX handled by Terri Meyers. The judge was Elaine E. Mathis. Monte is by Am.Can.Ch. Lemerle Silk Comedian of Keja x Ch. Lemerle French Vanilla. Monte is the younger full brother of Ch. Lemerle Silk Cashmere. He was bred by Elaine and is owned by Gary Cook, Minneapolis, MN. Congratulations Gary!

    • LEMERLE LITE AS STARDUST (Ziggy - white) finished his agility Novice JWW title on September 17, 2006. Ziggy is by Ch. Graphic Metallic out of our silver Lemerle Soft As Silk and is owned and trained by Christine Dahl in Minneapolis, MN.

    • LANE'S HI HO SILVER (Hank, silver male) - Introducing Louie's last silver son, born July 2007 and lives with breeder Lane Gergely in San Antonio, Texas. Hank will soon hit the show circuits with handler Bettie Brown.

          Monique is the top winning silver Standard Poodle of all time and now a Top Producer with 10 champion children. Amongst her show wins were 12 All-Breed Best-In-Shows, Best-of-Variety at the National P.C.A. Specialty in 1995 and Awards of Merit at Westminister K.C. in 1995 and 1996 and at P.C.A. in 1994. Three sons and 2 daughters from her first litter are American Champions and one son is also a Swedish Champion, (from a litter of 6), three puppies from her second litter are champions, and now Tess from her third litter is a champion. and the cream brother Andante is major - pointed. Claire our white bitch is finished from Monique's 4th litter. Monique is not only a beautiful show dog, and wonderful mother, but also the cutest bed-dog! Monique is the much loved grandparent of our young dogs, and lives a life of ease as a house dog. She still retains her active life, although a slight heart arrhythmia has precluded her from travelling out of state to show off at the PCA National Specialty. She has retained her clear medium silver color.

            I first saw Louies father Joker in the summer of 1996. I admired his extended gait, his long neck and face and his great temperament. At that time he was in a pet trim, but subsequently was grown out and finished in style wth a Group 1! I knew much of Joker�s pedigree as both his mother Fawn and grandmother Fauve had visited my house to be bred, and I bred and owned his father, Top Producer Am.Can.Ch. Lemerle Travellin� Lite. I decided to bred my blue bitch Delta to Joker, but when she didn�t get pregnant, Mildred and Pat kindly offered me another breeding. When Ken and Jacqui Fargey�s beautiful refined silver bitch Fiona (Can. Ch. Lemerle Fine Silk) came in season the next Spring I suggested she was bred to Joker, and they offered me the pick male. There were 6 silvers in the litter of 9 and Ken and Jacqui brought all the puppies down from Alberta for us the choose Louie. Louie was special from the beginning; a very attentive, intelligent and outgoing puppy, but with no craziness. He had the same extended trot as his father and grandfather, the long legs, neck and head of his father, but the small feet, and gorgeous refined face of Fiona. His pigment, teeth, underjaw and tailset were all perfect!

            I decided Louie was destined for great things in the showring so, as a puppy, he was shown immediately by Terri Meyers, winning second at the PCA Regional in Texas in the 6 - 9 mo Puppy Class and fourth at the PCA National in Maryland in the 9 - 12 mo Puppy Class. Meanwhile he had won 2 majors as a puppy! �Those damn silvers� I heard a few people say! In June 1998 Terri and I took Louie up to Vancouver, and he was shown at the big specialty weekend where he swept the board and he finished his Canadian championship in 3 shows, still in puppy trim. His American Championship was completed in Open coat, in February 1999 when he won another major under judge Elaine Rigden. Louie�s silver sister Natalie is also a Canadian champion with group placements, and his silver sister Shimmer, in Michigan, is an American champion.

            Louie passed all his genetic tests with flying colors. In the years after he has been bred to many beautiful bitches in the US, Canada and Europe. He is a Top Producer in the US and the list of his American champions includes:

He loves the freedom of our country acres; he chases squirrels and carries pine cones around in the company of his silver daughter Lemerle Silk Parfait (Paulette), who thinks he is the King! Louie welcomes visiting girls and hopes to continue producing quality puppies who can carry his legacy for the years to come.
