Stock Photography

Thank you for visiting my website.  Below you will find the list of the Agencies I sell my pictures through.  All the stars given are my personal opinion based on the sales experience along with their approach to problems.

What is Stock Photography:  Stock Photography is a conceptual photography that designer purchase for advertising, design concepts, etc...  I found some of my images in websites, educational pamphlets , an ad on a newspaper for a big corporation, etc.

For stock photography, there are few rules.  The images should be crisp clear at 100% zoom.  Your images should be at least 1200x1600, however bigger the better as many sites expect you to submit pictures that are at least 4Mp.

Below you will find a list of Agencies that I submit my pictures in the past year and that I have made at least $500 since then.  Keep in mind that there are 2 very important things to know.  Quality and Quantity.   The pictures should be HIGH QUALITY to sell well.  Also, you need to have the quantity as well so that you can make more and more money.

If you have a picture of a flower, guess what. So does everyone.  But if you have 20 pictures of flowers that are unique and high quality, you will sell few of them everyday, thus keeping your sales more consistent.

If you decide to join these sites with your images, make sure you select the best of the best to be accepted.  If you click below and join these sites (which is free to join as a photographer), let me know if you want me to look at your pictures and tell you whether they will be accepted or not.  Although my judgment will not be 100% accurate, I have enough experience to give you a good idea.  Click through my links below so that I can get credit for referring you and in return I will help you with your images, give you tips and tricks.

You can reach me at [email protected]

Don't send me your pictures at full resolution as my e-mail won't handle it all.  E-mail me and let me know which site you are submitting so that I can give you an idea what type of pictures to submit and then we'll look at those type of images to increase your chance to be accepted as a photographer.

I've posted some of my pictures that has been accepted and selling well on sites to give you an idea.  If you have any questions, just let me know.

This image is good for magazines to buy when they are giving tips on home improvement.  Can you see this image in an article or a website as an image to support the article and/or to make it look better?  Yes, you can and so did I  :)

This is a classic postcard image.  Why? it has copy space (white blank area) for some text to go.  This image has sold well for me on various sites.
This is another classic home improvement or a postcard idea where this is one of my best selling images.
This image is a good one for magazine articles about make up.  Why?  It has nice clear white background so that they can use this image and the test can wrap around it.
This image sold very well around the time where schools were starting.  I haven't seen this image in action but I assume it has been used in ads for Office Supplies stores.

I'm listing the sites in the order you should apply.  Why the order? Because some of these agencies are much harder to get in.  Unless, you are a pro, I'd suggest you to get yourself ready and experienced before submitting to all these...

Start with the first four listed here, and then if you have time go with 123RF at the bottom... Once you have confidence go with Shutterstock and iStockPhoto.  However, with Shutterstock, you submit 10 pictures and 7 of them has to be accepted otherwise, you can't re-apply for 3 months.  If you want, let me know and I'll take a look at your pictures and let you know...
