Journal Writing #1:
1.Is it morally acceptable for a brother to marry his deceased brother's
fiancee? Explain.
2.Is it wise to keep the  truth from the mother that her son is dead and let her continue hoping? How would you handle the situation if you were a family member ?

1.
I feel that it is
morall  worng for anyone to marry the deceased brothers  fiancee. This type of stuation is a very ocward one in the sense that some one is trying to marry their brothers fiances this stuations can never end good. In a stuation like this many things have to be consider like love, friendship, family, how close were the brothers, why is the liveing brother even view the dead brothers fiencee in that faison. what would have things been like if the brother had not diedwould the dead brother like this to happen,   many qutions arise in my head when i thought of this perdument. I feel that if the liveing brother really loves her he should go marry her . Morally  soscity and famliys would not accept a union of a borther marrying his brother s fieancce it for the simple fact that She was hhis brothers fiancee.

2 It is not wise to keep something like that way form the mother, even if it does give her hope and a pice of mind. The mother should grave and get rid of the pain instead of haveing a flase sense of hopelessness. A lie is alright to  believe but in the end thats all it really is a lie. I dont think the mother should live a lie she sould face reallty.  If i were a familly member i would sit the mother down with orther familly members and have a discustion about what happend and help her face it, help her tourgh the amotions roller coaster and let her know familly is there for her.

Journal#2 What do you know about the Korean War? Read some recollection poems written by people who were in the war.

     Korean war was the war between communism and democracy. North communist had invaded the South and so U.S.A sent troops to the South to protect it from becoming communist and keeping democracy. USA lost lots of troops in that war. Korea is still separated into North and South. The reason for so many American losses was that North Koreans used gorilla warfare tactics to over power them and because of this, technology didn't play a big role in the war.

Journal #3 :Browse five poems from the above list and select One poem (Copy the poem onto your web page about All My Sons.) to answer the following two questions:

What feelings are revealed in the poem?
What war images do you see in the poem?
For the Fallen
 With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres,
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our
labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam.

But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;

As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.

: Journal Writing #4
If  you find out that your parents or guardians commit a crime because they had to protect you or the family, would you send them to jail ? What would you do especially after you realize that their crime has hurt innocent people?

My opinion to this answer is like a positive and a negative. Well my positive answer is that I would send them to jail because they committed a crime and if I help them hide I would end up in jail too because I'm helping a criminal to be a fugitive. Also he or she took a life from a human being, If that person that you killed did something to your family or a very close friend go to the police, they would help you in anything you need. So don't become a killer, become into a person that would do anything to get the killer that assassin one of your family member. Journal 5     1. Journal #5
1. Internet Activity:
Visit  the World War II Archives Page and describe three things that are unforgettable to you.

  The three things that are unforgettable is that I found people died in battle horrible deaths. They died for each other. There was selfishness rarely. They share cloth ( socks ) food. But they left each other in battle . Those who got captured suffered and died thousands of miles away from homes. Those who survived, blamed themselves for other deaths. They were broken spiritually and emotionally.

.(Journal#6) Comment on Mr. Keller's speech to Ann:"...You get older, you want to feel that you...accomplished something. My only accomplishment is my son. I ain't brainy. That's all I accomplished. Now, a year, eight months, your father'll be a free man.." What does this speech foreshadow?

I think that she is right. Her sons is what mother should live for. And she should protect them. This foreshadows that release of Ann's father. That he will too move on and live, help Ann. But at the same time if Ann's father has some thoughts about their family, then Mrs. Keller will protect her family.

Write responses to Jim's speech," Oh, no, he'll come back. We all come back. These private little revolutions always die. The compromise is always made....Every man does have a star. The star is one's honesty. And you spend your life groping for it, but once it's out it never lights again."

HW#10 *Write a diary entry from Joe's point of view after Kate asks him to ask forgiveness from Chris, his son.

My name is Chris  my fatheris a murder name Joe Keller. A couple of mints ago I found out that my father killed 21 soldiers about a couple of years ago. I know he is guilty because he told me that he committed the crime out of love for his family. The father of my  wife is in jail because the police thinks that he is guilty because he was the only one working at the shop that day but it was really my fathers fult . My father called in saying that he had the flu, and that he couldn't go to work. My feelings towards my father is hatred. He is guilty of this crime and at this year he still hadn't pay the price. I just feel like killing him with my bare hands. My brother Larry before dying left a letter to Ann saying that if his missing not to look for him because he killed himself. He killed himself because he knew that his father killed 21 soldiers.

 HW#11 *Write a diary entry from Chris's point of view describing what he went through when he drove away after he had found out his father was guilty.

This poem best describes what Chris experienced at war because it says that people died like cattle. There were no prayers for those that fought and died, only guns and anger. The only way to end the war was not with guns but with the evil it brings. Only if people saw it, then there wouldn't be any war. Just like in Chris's experience, in this boys fought and died.
