He-Man	He-Man He-Man and Skeletor were designed by Mattel in 1981 and were the first action figures made for the Masters of the Universe range.  Mattel then brought in Michael Halperin to write a cartoon series to accompany the toys and bring them more to life.  Many more characters were created and the series became highly popular in the mid 1980's.  The action figures sold very well and further series were brought out each year until 1987.
