Temples
Guangji Si (Universal Rescue Temple)
Located on the northwestern side of the Xisi Dajie intersection, this temple was first built in the 12th century. Its architecture is typical of Chinese temples but it's worth visiting because it is so well preserved. It is the headquarters of the Chinese Buddhist Association and houses some of the finest Buddhist statues in China. The area around the temple is a busy market street, but once inside, all the noise and bustle of the street disappears.

Fayuan Si (Temple of the Source of Law)
Situated at the southern end of Xizhuan Lane outside Xuanwumen, this temple was originally built in 645 AD and was used to hold the imperial examinations for selecting officials. It is the second largest temple in Beijing and is also the China Buddhism College.

Biyun Si (Temple of Azure Clouds)
Located next to Xiangshan (Fragrant Hill), this temple is generally considered to be the most magnificent of all the temples in the Western Hills. It dates back to the Yuan Dynasty (1271 to 1368) and became a popular spot for the emperors and their concubines during the Qing Dynasty (1644 to 1911). Unlike other temples in Beijing, it built on an east-west axis, following the contours of the terrain on six different levels with interconnecting courtyards.

China has the most Horses with 10,000,000 and chickens with over 3,000,000,000.

In 2001, the world's tallest building will be the Shanghai World Financial Center in Shanghai China

There are more English speaking people in China than in America.
