Snow Lion
Peak, on the southern bank of the Li River (Lijiang), is formed from two peaks: the Green
Lion Peak and the Snow Lion Peak. Crouching on the
top of the two peaks are two figures known as the
Two Lions at Snow Peak.
With boats
sailing back and forth on the wide Li River (Lijiang), surrounded by several hills --
Immortals' Hill, Scholars' Page Hill, Jade Screen
Hill, Crouching Lion Hill and East Huashan Hill --
the Snow Lion Peak is most interesting.
The paddy fields and peasant houses scattered
on the hill create a lovely, pastoral scene.
