| I decided to go to Taiwan for the sole purpose of learning Chinese. That is something no one in Taiwan could seem to understand, since 99% of all foreigners in Taiwan are English teachers. Naturally, I stuck out. Not only because my blond hair, but because I came as a student. After coming from the mid-west, a place like Oklahoma, living in Asia was the experience of a lifetime. I would recommend it to anyone. It was addicting. After Taiwan came Japan, then HK, China, Singapore and the Philippines for good measure. |
