Leinad Ekim collaborated on two works of musical theater with composer/lyricist Michael Daniel prior to his (Leinad's) death in 2003. The first of which was Sleepy Hollow, an adaptation of Washington Irving's classic short story. Sleepy Hollow has not yet been performed, so we do not have any recordings to post at this time. The second musical he worked on with Mr. Daniel was an original musical "dramedy" entitled Alone. Alone had its debut performance in 2003 as part of the Aloha Performing Arts Company's Original Play Festival. British Desserts is a song sung by Rona about her love for an...unfortunately named British dessert. Other works of musical theater may surface as Mr. Daniel continues to pore through the seemingly endless supply of material stored on Leinad's six computer hard drives. We will be sure to post more information here as they surface. If you would like to know more about either of these shows, or may be interested in performing one of them, please contact us! |
