10. (Q) What is meant by "their ability to aid in given direction"?
(A) All force and power as is applied through psychic forces comes from a universal energy, that is directed by individual application. As the entity studies, develops, and seeks, such application may be gained or attained by those forces through which attunement is gained. As is seen in all of the forms of vibration, whether in the mineral, in the vegetable, in the animal, in music, in those of chemics or chemicals, or those of spiritual vibrations. These are of attunement, or are in various FORMS in attunement. As the entity attunes self to the various forms through which the application of the mental abilities of the entity attain or gain access, they pass through these various forces, and may be individual, may be group, may be of higher vibration, or they may be of a lower - if the body is made animal by the excess of the gratification of animal desires, they become of the lower vibration. If that is made of an attunement with the bodies celestial, bodies terrestrial, or of whatever form - these develop through that same vibration; for that as is meted is measured again. To that vibration one attunes self, that response is back. See? (256-2)

19. (Q) In certain types of insanity, is there an etheric body involved? If so, how?
(A) Possession.
Let's for a moment use examples that may show what has oft been expressed from here:
There is the physical body, there is the mental body, there is the soul body. They are One, as the Trinity; yet these may find a manner of expression that is individual unto themselves. The body itself finds its own level in its OWN development. The mind, through anger, may make the body do that which is contrary to the better influences of same; it may make for a change in its environ, its surrounding, contrary to the laws of environment or hereditary forces that are a portion of the 'elan vitale' of each manifested body, with the spirit or the soul of the individual.
Then, through pressure upon some portion of the anatomical structure that would make for the disengaging of the natural flow of the mental body through the physical in its relationships to the soul influence, one may be dispossessed of the mind; thus ye say rightly he is "out of his mind."
Or, where there are certain types or characters of disease found in various portions of the body, there is the lack of the necessary 'vitale' for the resuscitating of the energies that carry on through brain structural forces of a given body. Thus disintegration is produced, and ye call it dementia praecox - by the very smoothing of the indentations necessary for the rotary influence or vital force of the

spirit within same to find expression. Thus derangements come.
Such, then, become possessed as of hearing voices, because of their closeness to the Borderland. Many of these are termed deranged when they may have more of a closeness to the universal than one who may be standing nearby and commenting; yet they are awry when it comes to being normally balanced or healthy for their activity in a material world.
20. (Q) Is it possible to give any advice as to how an individual may raise his own vibrations, or whatever may be necessary, to effect a self-cure?
(A) By raising that attunement of self to the spirit within, that is of the soul - body - about which we have been speaking.
Oft in those conditions where necessary ye have seen produced within a body unusual or abnormal strength, either for physical or mental activity. From whence arose such? WHO hath given thee power? Within what live ye? WHAT is Life?
Is it the ATTUNING of self, then, to same. HOW?
As the body-physical is purified, as the mental body is made wholly at-one with purification or purity, with the life and light within itself, healing comes, strength comes, power comes.
So may an individual effect a healing, through meditation, through attuning not just a side of the mind nor a portion of the body but the whole, to that at-oneness with the spiritual forces within, the gift of the life-force within each body.
For (aside, please), when matter comes into being, what has taken place? The Spirit ye worship as God has MOVED in space and in time to make for that which gives its expression; perhaps as wheat, as corn, as flesh, as whatever may be the movement in that ye call time and space.
Then MAKING self in an at-onement with that Creative Force brings what? That necessary for the activity which has been set in motion and has become manifested to be in accord WITH that First Cause.
Hence do we find it becomes necessary that ye speak, ye act, that way. For whosoever cometh to offer to self, or to make an offering to the throne of mercy or grace, and speaketh unkind of his brother, is only partially awake or aware.
For that which has brought distraughtness, distress, disease in the earth, or in manifestation, is transgression of the law. (281-24)

38. How, you ask then, may the entity so attune self?
39. By looking on the beauty of a sunset, of a rose, of a lily, or any of those things in nature, and - by the very nature of the mood that these create in self - arouse or bring forth those melodies upon the instruments of the day; the piano, the organ, the reed or even the stringed instruments; to express the nature of these as they express themselves in their unfoldment. 16. (Q) If I believe that God within is capable of meeting my every need, how can I justify my going to an osteopath for treatments?
(A) How did Jesus, the Son, the Christ, justify Himself in telling the man that was healed from leprosy to "Go, show thyself to the priest and offer the sacrifice as commanded by Moses"?
Did the man remain healed because of the act or because God spoke and was sufficient?
Now: When Lazarus was dead, yea when Jairus' daughter lay dead, He spoke and they were aroused. Yet He took HER by the hand and commanded that food and drink be given.
For in the material world, material responses must apply to the material being.
To Lazarus we find He called, "Come forth!" yet he was not able to unbind himself.
Hence in such influences, such forces that are manifested among the children of men, there is that activity which if one administering help or aid does so for self's own glorification become as He gave when He said, "Many will come in the last days and say, Did we not in thy name heal the sick, cast out demons, make the lame to walk and the blind to see? and I will say, Depart from me, workers of iniquity, for I never knew thee!"
Now, God's command to man is to SUBDUE the earth! USE in applied manners all the manifestations of God's love in those

influences and forces of the natural activities in the earth! For what? For man's comprehension, man's unfoldment to the knowledge that in deed ye live and move and have thy being in the Father!
In those things that we see in nature, as in the bark of the cincho tree - here we find an active element that to the bodies of men physically acts as a retarder, as a healing force for the destructive malaria. Is this bark any the less manifestation of God and God's love because it is prepared by those that would show forth the Lord's death until He come again?
Is the juice of the vine any the less manifestation of God because it is prepared by man to bring release to the heart of man, or to those who have overburdened their bodies through the aggrandizement of their lives and their selves and their appetites until the flow of the blood through the channels of the body itself becomes staid?
What is the principle that does same?
The love of God, that man may find within the influences and forces about him in EVERY nature among those things that show forth the love of God!
Then, though it be a mechanical release of those ganglia that may be hindered from their perfection in the system in the seeking of same, if it is in God's name that ye seek, that ye may be the better channel, what is the manifestation? To whom has He given those things in their activities that which will show to the sons of men that God IS and lives and has a care for each soul? To the children of men! And these then become not as mere justifications, but the more perfect manifestations!
Not that the love of God is belittled or is lacking - for His influence to so attune every vibration of self to RENEW itself; yea, it may! For in each cell of thy individual body ye may find that which will renew itself continuously. Yet thou hast built in thy own consciousness, by the ages that have passed, that man ages and dies! Is this the will of God?
Rather has He shown in the workings of the sons of men, that those things of sanitation, those things in diet, those things in the activities of men who have given their lives that others may know the better way, are necessary.
Those that do so not for their own indulgences but that their very activity in alleviating is to serve others, become channels to bring hope and relief from suffering to the children of men. For God hath not willed that man should

suffer, no more than any of those other activities, but is ever mindful. For though ye wander far away, "If ye call, I will HEAR!" But to MAN He hath left much and all of that which man may do.
Then as ye seek for this or that, in man's estate, do it in that same manner in which ye pray:
FATHER, GOD, KEEP THOU THY LOVED ONES, IN THE CARE THAT THEY MAY KNOW MORE AND MORE OF THY LOVE, THAT IS SHED UPON THE CHILDREN OF MEN; THAT THY PATIENCE, O FATHER, MAY NOT GROW WEARY, EVEN AS THY LOVE MAY NOT FADE, TO THE WAYWARD IN THE EARTH. (1158-14)

14. For as ye measure to thy fellow man it is measured to thee again. This is an UNCHANGEABLE law! For as ye ask for forgiveness, only in those measures in which ye forgive may

Ye cannot rise above that as ye measure, that as ye live. For as the expression of life IS the manifestation of that love, then in the measure as it metes so is it measured to thee. (1348-1)

14. (Q) Why don't I have the same degree of spiritual exaltation in my new apartment that I had while living at the Hotel ...? How can I recapture that inner radiance?
(A) Variations in the vibratory influences about the body. Let there be held by those with whom and in whom the body feels those associations that make for the awareness of the high vibratory influences, and we may dispel those that have existed here. (1472-9)

10. Urges arise through Mercury, Venus, Saturn, that are even adverse to Jupiter. Thus the urge latent within thee, "Well, let the other fellow do all the work - if I can just rest and have a good time." Just the urge, "Well, if it doesn't cost anything, then it will be very well." All of these indifferences are latent. But these are to test thy strength in good. For Jupiter is the ennobling influence, the impelling force, and this once begun there will be no stopping thee. Then, not only be good, be good for something! If ye would have friends, be friendly. If ye would have love, love others. If ye would have beauty, make everything about thee more beautiful. If ye would learn His ways, talk with Him often; repeating His words often - not merely becoming as rote or habit, but make them practical in thy life and in thy dealings with others. Thus ye will

The acts of those are such that they are ever desirous of the good for their brother, they are ever desirous of the fact that their Lord wait with them, that He walk and talk with them in their meditations, that He be with them in their pleasures. Yea, ye seek oft to call on Him in sorrow. How oft do you ask Him to dine with thee - how oft in thy pleasures? These activities ye may enjoy more when ye do learn these truths so as to make them a part of thy consciousness. Not merely when things go wrong or when you stump your toe should ye ask, but ask ever - and it will be the better. (3376-2)

9. For if you will read the Book of Revelation with the idea of the body as the interpretation, you will understand yourself and learn to really analyze, psychoanalyze, mentally analyze others. But you will have to learn to apply it in self first. For the motivating force in each one of those patterns represented, is that which the individual entity entertains as the ideal. This is the motivating spirit, the motivating purpose. When it is out of attune, or not coordinating with the First Cause, there may not be the greater unfoldment. For, it is in self that it becomes out of attune. It loses its power or ability. It loses creative energy or its hold upon the First Cause that is the Creator or God. (4083-1)
