| The name of the series means "Ghost Files/Poltegist Report/Ghost Detectives." Yusuke Urameshi, the main character finds himself in a strange predicament when he finds out he's...dead! o.o This is a strange way to start a series...Yusuke's first obstical is become alive again since he wasn't supposed to die yet (according to Botan, a seemingly beautiful Grim Reaper). Botan brings Yusuke to the heir to the spirit realm Koenma, (who first appears pint sized, but can transform to a teen at will). Despite Yusuke's teasing Koenma chooses to help him get his life back. Yusuke soon discovers that while he was alive people really did care about him. After becoming alive again, Botan requests Yusuke to become a Spirit Detective. Yusuke, noticing he now has super natural powers decides to accept the offer. During his adventures he is joined in his journey by his rival now turned friend, Kazuma Kuwabara; the charming and debonair fox demon, Kurama aka Shuichi Minami and a demon possessing abnormal powers, Hiei.
