| Tenchi Muyo! Hiroki Hayashi created Tenchi Muyo. This title means no need of heaven and earth. Tenchi, means heaven and earth and Muyo means no need of. Why no need of heaven and earth you ask? Well when you have 5 women from outer space who are all head over heels over you who needs heaven! That�s exactly what happened to Tenchi when he found the demoness Ryoko in his grandfather�s shrine cave. And pretty soon others (Ayeka, Mihoshi, Sasami, and Washu) crash landed and such to earth as well. One by one the women fell for Tenchi causing major panic since most of them have unknown powers. Little does Tenchi know that these girls all have their enemies who come after them and Tenchi being the hero type must defend earth and the women. Tenchi Muyo is hilarious, a bit crude, and very romantic! Tenchi Universe! This series restarts Tenchi Muyo in a different light and with the new character, �Kiyone,� Mihoshi�s Galaxy police partner. It begins this time with Ryoko crashing to earth in Rioki (her space ship). Tenchi finds her and once again soon meets the other girls. Kagato is the main villain this time and kidnaps Ayeka. This was my second favorite part of the Tenchi series because at the end of this Ryoko and Tenchi are hugging and my favorite anime song plays its called, �Dimension of Love.� I didn�t expect the next series to happen that�s for sure. Tenchi in Tokyo! The title says it all Tenchi goes to Tokyo in this series to train to become the priest�s assistant there. In this series the characters have all crashed to earth (except Tenchi) and have known each other for sometime. The girls are very disappointed, but when Washu makes a handy little dimension portal its time to visit Tenchi! Tenchi encounters a girl named Sakuya in Tokyo at school and soon falls in love with her. Little does he know that the infamous Yugi who plans to separate the Tenchi gang using Sakuya, who is her other side of her (like Sasami and Tsunami). One by one the group is separated but will they ever come back together to defend earth from Yugi�s attack? Or will the earth be destroyed? |
