Years ago, a strange enviromental phenomenon caused the land known as the Kanazawa prefecture to rise into the air like mountains, cutting off the area from the surrounding cities. Shortly afterwards, the Kanazawa prefecture became known as The Lost Grounds. At roughly the same time, an 'evolution' in the human race which allowed people to change physical matter into other forms started to appear in roughly 1% of all children born in the lost ground. These people became known as Alter users.
22 years after the forming of The Lost Grounds, we meet a young Alter user known only as Kazuma. He fights to prove his strength and protect those he loves, but when he comes face to face with HOLY (a group of alter users whos only objective is to capture and deport Native Alters to the mainland) even Kazuma may have met his match. The strongest member, Ryuho, becomes Kazuma's strongest opponont to date but even those two combined may have trouble dealing with the dangers facing the lost ground and the 'refined' alter user, Kyoji Mujo. |
