This is Josh Williams, on music. I have asked him about when and how he got started in music, his past experiences, and what he plans to do with his talent in the future. Enjoy.

When did you become involved in creating music?
hmm..in 6th grade i joined to s.s. dixon intermediate band. i played the snare drum and xylophone

Why did you join band?
cuz i wanted to be in a band later and i didn't want to play saxophone or something because i would never use it aftert high school so i figured if i could play the drums a bit i could get a head start on playing a drum set.

Did you always plan to join a band as a drummer, even before you were in school band?
nope. it just popped into my head when they were passing around a form to join band.

How did your parents feel about you joining Middle School Band?
they supported me. they are really good about things like that. my dad especially. he buys me drum stuff all the time and never makes me pay him back wich rocks. they have supported all the non-school bands i've been in too so i feel good.

How many non-school bands have you been involved in?
wow...a lot...let me think. i'm guessing 9. but there are so many billion little joke bands i'm in i could never remember them all. i didn't count them as bands and stuff though since we never intend to play shows. i am in a band called the scurvey trio and do pirate raps on thomas's 4-track.

If you could make a new band and have it exactly how you want it, members and everything, who would you choose and what style would it be?
hmm...can i choose famous people?
Nah... Realistic.
ok. does agnostias wolf count as famous?
No, he's INfamous, but you can pick him!
hehe. ok it'd be me on drums thomas on guitar, mike on bass, jarrod on guitar and the wolf singing and we'd be "experimental rock"

What has been/is your favorite band that you've ever been involved in?
taken from you definately. we have been the most succesful out of all of them and its the most fun to do. i like it a lot.

Nupur is certainly your most popular band of the past. How do you feel about it's nonexistence?
pretty sad actually. it was a whole lot of fun and its kind of like my "good ol' days". charlies down for the weekend and we were playing nupur stuff and memories were rushing back to me. if james ever comes back i think we are going to record some of our stuff but i definately miss it a lot.

Are you still friends with the old Nupur fans? I recall seeing many people on that guestbook I never hear about now. Do you still talk with them?
yeah. most nupur fans are now tfy fans anyways. but there is a girl named allison who was a die hard nupur fan that i hung out with a lot at the show last nite. i haven't seen her in forever.

I hear a rumor (or maybe I was there) that you produced your first show last night. How did everything go? yes i did and it went very well. my main concern was i owe the main band, jeremiah's grotto, $300 bucks and i was kind of nervous i wouldn't make it but i ended up making over 400 so i payed the band and the church that i used as a venue and i split the money and i ended up with 60 something bucks. although i spent 20 on jeremiah's grotto merchandise. but it was a great experience and i will probably be doing more in the future.

What shows will you hope to produce in the future? (Meaning, which bands, where at, how often...)
well i just got an e-mail from a band called pacifico ( http://mp3.com/pacifico ) and they are wanting me to book them for only 100 bucks so i'm going to jump on that deal. they are not like the stuff i normally listen to but they rock. its like radio rock and its really catchy. they sound like everclear or the foo fighters or something. but i plan to do that and i'm hoping to get noise ratchet soon. a lot of my shows with probably be at victorious life church because the guy that runs the youth is awesome and we always work out good deals on how to split the money and all. and i dont know how often. just when i get the chance.

What things do you hope for in the future with Taken From You?
well we are releasing a cd soon and we have so many new songs we may start recording again soon. i'm hoping to tour maybe next summer. also i think we may try to get on a bigger label. jake rocks but it kind of sucks still having to pay for everything.
