hey everyone that uses Napster... download stuff by Failing as Heroes. They're really good and just recorded. And yowza have you ever seen the cute curly haired singer? What a cutie...

My top 3 most influential songs and why:
3) A tie with Suicide Machine [by Hum] 'cause sometimes I can so agree with this one line in it... "Somewhere through a thousand words a dragonfly descends with just a whisper... I'm lonlier than God" and when I get so lonely sometimes I can listen to that song and understand, and Always Have, Always Will [by The Impossibles]. I know this isn't their best stuff by far but it's one of my favorite songs, and when I saw them play I requested it and they played it for me. I just really like it and whatnot though.

2) The Week of August First [by The Impossibles]. Lyrics that read: "this is a test to see if my worst still can beat my best, this is a test, a measurement of my failure at success." I feel like that sometimes.

1) Why Bother [by Weezer].
Lyrics:
I know I should get next to you
You got a look that makes me think you're cool
But it's just sexual attraction
Not something real so I'd rather keep wackin'
Why bother? it's gonna hurt me
It's gonna kill when you desert me
This happened to me twice before
It won't happen to me anymore
I've known a lotta girls before
What's the harm in knowin' one more?
Maybe we could even get together
Maybe you could break my heart next summer
It's a cryin' shame I'm all alone
Not with you, nor her, nor anyone
Won't you knock me on my head
Crack it open let me outta here

Just pretend it's from a girl's point of view. I know those aren't my most influential and in five minutes I'll think "Doh! That means a lot more to me than that dumb song!" But this is what I thought of at the moment.

hmmm...Jessi, I have a meaningful song. I really do. But, it got lost somewhere when I was trying to drag it in here, and I think it might have been just as well. After all, I'm listening to Mazzy Star, and that music just makes me happy. Pleasant, and serious. Listen to Blue Light if you ever get the chance.

Sara, that is too sweet...makes me want to go hear that song...but nevermind. Honestly, that's awesome.

Valparaiso is a BIG place for being so small...and never, ever, ever, if you life depends on it, ask directions. No one, NO ONE there knows how to get anywhere else. Quaint.

You had a great idea for your page, Jessi...roar...hummm...

On a different note: I'm not sure if I can go to the show tonight. I must talk with my mother about it and I just don't know. She will probably say no but... I can try. After all, she's not letting me see Weezer in 10 days. It's the least she can do as a good mother, right? ...right guys? Ahh well...

Maybe I can see the infamous Lis for the second time ever! I wonder what color her hair is now... hmm, what thoughts to ponder.
