I think that the pre-contest dieting is so hard compared to everything else, especially(doing cardio) when carb depleting, it's so amazing to see how the body changes from week to week the sleep and training are relativley easy when put in comparison to the nutritional side of bodybuilding. You can get 8-10 hours each night and train hard and take all supplements you can afford but unless the muscles have the essential nutrients it needs it will not grow to it's full potential. If all three things are in place there is no reason why you should not grow,so many people train so hard but just do not improve, maybe one of these things are missing? I have spoken to many bodybuilders about nutrition and protein intake and I think everyone's body will respond differently but in my opinion for muscle growth you should aim for 2g or more of protien per pound of bodyweight, good protien sources come from, eggs, chicken, fish, red & white meat, good sources of carbohydrates are potatoes, rice, pasta and bananas. There are no secrets or shortcuts too muscle growth I believe it's a mix of genetics, drive, enthusiasm, hard work and a positive mental attitude and the will to succeed will take you where you want to go.id like to thank mark harris for his nutritional and pre contest advice and a big thanks to pricey, julian and flex for there help with my training, cheers boyz!also id like to thank my parents in Skin'n'Ink,especially my beautiful and caring mother for taking me to the gym for the 1st time ever in 1996(better bodies)and for being so supportive when ive been dieting, thnx mam(and for the sunday dinners of course, haha),and last but not leaast thanks to andrew(sparrow),leon and stan for always being there when ive needed them.couldnt of done it with out you all, thanks a lot.
