Term Paper Rubric
(aka, how to earn the grade of your dreams on your research paper)
A (95/90)  Solid thesis, very strong writing. No factual, grammatical and/or typographical errors. Far exceeds the minimum requirements for sources.

B (85/80)   Strong thesis, strong writing. meets more than the minimum requirements for sources. Very few factual, grammatical and/or typographical errors.

C  (75/70)  Adequate thesis and acceptable writing, but some factual, grammatical and/or typographical errors. Meets the minimum requirements for the project.

D  (65/60)  No obvious thesis or the project fails to meet the minimum number of sources required. Many factual, grammatical and/or typographical errors.

F (0)  No paper submitted

Please note: to earn the corresponding letter grade,
all of these listed elements must be present. For example, a paper with 20 sources that is very poorly written and contains factual, grammatical and/or typographical errors may earn the same grade as a paper that meets the minimum number of sources required and composes a generally well written paper.

*** Remember: Each calendar day a paper is late (including weekends and holidays), the penalty is one letter grade deducted from the final project grade.***
