Accessing JStor via the University of Memphis' Library Website
Here is information about how to access Jstor, the computer database for scholarly journals. You will need to use this if you are writing a research paper for your class project.

Follow these easy steps:
1. Go to
www.memphis.edu.
2. Hit the "Library" link.
3. Under the "quick links" column on the right hand side of the page, go down to "all databases, a-z"
4. Once there, you will find an alphabetical listing across the top. Hit the letter "J" for Jstor.
5. Then it will jump down to the Jstor link.
6. Click on that.
7. Then you should be at the Jstor site. (This may or may not happen, depending on whether you are on a university computer or are logging in from your home. There *is* a way for you to access the site from you home computer. To do this, I would recommend you look at
this link to get you started.)
8. Then at the Jstor site, click on "search" and type in the topic or other terms that are relevant to what you are seeking.
Make sure that any of the articles that come up are *not* book reviews, but rather true articles. If in doubt, ask me and I'll be glad to help.
