Now, I will tell you about Star Wars and how I became interested in it. In the
summer following 6th grade, my family and I went to Disney World. One ride there was
a ride called Star Tours. I hated the ride....but I think I would enjoy it a lot more now.
Little did I know that it would be the start of something so Big! That ride was based on a
movie...none other than Star Wars itself! I remember upon exiting it, Darth Vader was
standing off to the side with bars around him and he was breathing. My sister and I
thought he was saying something...�Open, open, open.� like open the cage or something.
That was a Star Wars gift shop. I wish I could go there now! Mr. Sisel was probably
there! Anyway, when we got back , my sister wanted to play Barbie Disney World. You
see, we played Barbies different then anyone else. For the ride, Star Tours, we got a little
plastic basket and set them in front of the TV I was the one in charge of that ride...of
rocking the Barbies back in forth in the basket. We had a VCR in the living room at that
time and put in Star Wars, since Star Tours was supposed to be a ride about it. I played
the tape for 2 minutes, then stopped it and put in the next family. Oh, I don�t know how
many times I did that. I must have done it and gotten through all the Barbies or
something. But the part that got me interested was when Luke was a Old Ben�s house.
The line about....before the Empire....I just sat back and watched it. I was interested in it.
And I saw the rest of it. The next day, I watched Empire Strikes Back, and that night I
made up something. I was sitting there on the couch talking to my mom about it. I was
thinking. �Who all knew who Luke�s father was? � My mom said she didn�t know.
Then I got to thinking. �Does the princess?� I answered my own question. �Of course
she does...she would remember when he was a baby...� Then I said out loud, �Wait a
second,� and my mom�s like �What?� I said, �Nothing.� but that stated me thinking.
�The Princess is about the same age as Luke...she couldn�t know.� then, that night, I
went to bed and made up that Luke and her were twins. Then the next day, I watched
Return of the Jedi....and probably about halfway through it, Luke returned to Daggabath
to finish his training...and Yoda was getting ready to die. HE said, �Luke, there is
another Skywalker.� I didn�t catch it at first. Then, Luke Luke had already asked Yoda
the question about his father. �Your father, he is.� Then Luke went over and Obi-Wan
appeared and Luke�s� like, � Why didn�t you tell me?� And Obi-Wan said something
about a certain point of view. And then Luke said he couldn�t kill his own father and
Obi-Wan said, �Then the Emperor has already won. Luke, you were our last hope.� Or
something like that. Then Luke said, �But Yoda spoke of another...� Obi-Wan said, �The
other is your twin sister.� At that point, I said, �Oh my gosh!� Then Luke knew whom it
was. �Leia, Leia�s my sister.� Then I was thinking �I was Right!� Then, by accident
when I was searching on the Internet about the birthday thing, I came across something
that made me think Luke & Leia�s mom was a queen. At that point, too I said, � I was
right about that, too.� Now I know for sure that I was right because my sister read something
about in Newsweek and said �Anakin marries a Queen.� I got mad at her for telling me
that because I wanted it to be a surprise to see for sure. Now all I have is to see if Endor
and Jedi Stories are right and how close they are to Episodes I, II, and III. Star Wars is
the First time I had ever been right about anything when I make up what I think is going
to happen next. ^ Anyway, now for the Notes.
