| Coach's Post Game Comments: Scrimmage -Zane Trace-Clinton Massie WOW, WOW, WOW, Let me say how proud I am of all of you , Everyone stepped up and put in 110 percent last night. Emily's speed really helped her to stay on the ball. Good passing on Chelsea and Emily's part. Malea , who is usually a very calm player, really stepped up the pace. Lindsay Brokaw really covered the entire side all the time. Maggie went after the ball and took it up more than I have seen her do ever. Emily,Chelsea and Alex took some good shots. Brittany and Paige showed real team work. Lauren ,Shelby,Audrea and Kyla showed off their defense skills by switching and blocking a lot of would be goals. Katelyn R. and Erin, Brook, Chantal ,and Kayla showed all their hard work at practice's is paying off. Katie W, Lindsay R. and Hannah impressed me with their willingness and skill to play other positions but their own. PLAYER'S OF THE GAME SHELBY RIFFEL AND MALEA MCCABE Miami Trace game Refs Terry Bowshier and Sheldon Arledge Once again the team did not disappoint me or each other. Everyone played their hardest. It would be easy to blame it all on the heat, But we have practice in it too much for that. I must also take part of the blame, I don't think I subed in as much the second half which hurt us . Part of it was we were just not in shape to last the whole game, So we will have to work on that. I do think we need to keep scrimmaging to get used to playing with each other and as a team. I was happy to see that the forwards and midfields are taking more shots. Which resulted in Britteny and Lindsay R. making our 2 goals. Defense looked a lot better this game. They seemed to work together better. Katelyn R. did a good job of defense. It is hard to mention 2 players that stood out when all of you put in 150% percent into playing. Autumn played her best ever. Emily is like the little energizer bunny that just will not stop. I did see a lot more passing which is great. Britteny showed how her shooting skills have improved. Audrea took charge of the defense and pulled them together and showed she can play through the pain, Even though that is not always a good idea. Alex and Chantel and Chelsea showed their aggressiveness really helped. ...Hopefully Kyla's knee injury will not keep her out long. Lauren showed us what a wall she can put up as stopper. I think all in all we played a pretty good game. We just did not put in our all like we did the first half. Part being worn out and part desire to win. We need to stay as strong in the second half as we come in on the first. PLAYERS OF THE GAME BRITTANY BARRETT and LINDSAY RITTINGER Minford game I think everyone played a good game theirselfs but just not as a team. We were not there as a team , and we have to be to win games. Winning is not everything , It is more inportant that we have fun. What I saw and heard disappointed me . Not all but some player blaming each other for the lose. It was all our doing that we lost the game , every player and both coaches. We must pull ourselfs together for the next game. or it will end the same. If I was to pick 2 players out of the game It would be the ones who had faith of us winning through the whole game. PLAYERS OF THE GAME MAGGIE RITTENGER and KATIE WILLIS We have gone through some rough changes, But hopefully for the better. Our last game went well. This is hoping we can pull together as a team and do well for the team and each other for the remainder of the games. BACK TO HOME |
