Junior High is the time to start thinking about whether or not you would like to play soccer at the varsity level.  Many of you play for clubs or for the Logan Elm Youth League.  If you would like to continue playing soccer when you enter high school, then you will need to continue playing through junior high.  Until that time the girls varsity team is willing to include you in at least part of what we do.
Junior High School age girls, 7th or 8th grade, are welcome at varisty events.  We encourage you to expose yourself to our program and to allow us to get to know you as soon as possible.  Introduce yourself to teammates and coaches who will be eager to meet the future of Logan Elm Soccer.
Any and all interested players are welcome at our summer open-fields.  These are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays.  If you need a ride feel free to contact any member of the varsity team (including coach) to arrange for a ride to the fields.  Open-fields are just that, open, to all who wish to play.  There will not be any coaching of players, per OHSSA regulations, and the time is meant for players to organize themselves and enjoy playing soccer.
Junior High players can also act as ball boys/girls at the varsity home games.  We always need people to do this important job, and being out on the field, with the team, will mean that when you enter your freshman year, you will be a familiar name and face to the program.
Eighth graders need to remember that they are part of the freshman class of players once the fall season is over.  You may participate fully, and probably should, to the extent that you are possible, in all team events.  This includes indoor soccer, spring/summer conditioning and open fields, team camps, etc..  Do not be shy, come out and get to know the players and coaches associated with the program.  You are a part of the program so participate in it.
Look for information about a little league summer camp in the spring.  If a camp is offered it will be affordable and will last approximately 2 days for a few hours each day.  Current coaches and players make up the bulk of the instructors, however guest coaches have also been a part of past camps.  Be looking and listening for information.
We would love to see a huge turn-out at all of our events.  The more the merrier, so come on out and join the fun!
Please sign the guestbook on the homepage, if you are interested in attending summer workouts, or if you would like to help the varisty side during our home games.  If you are in the area feel free to stop by and ask coach any questions you have.  Thanks.
