Biographical Information
Graduated in June of 1961, began employment with the State of Michigan on the Monday after graduation, retiring in June of 1991. Worked in several departments with the State of Michigan, retiring from the Department of Transportation, Real Estate Division, as a Secretary.
Married Doug Hoot in April of 1985, and when we retired in June of 1991, headed South to the town of Franklin, North Carolina, where the temperatures are warm, 6 weeks of winter (cool temperatures and NO SNOW), long springs and long falls. Very active in the Gold Wing Road Riders Association from 1985 to 1992, when being involved in an motorcycle accident that crushed my right leg, so gave up biking. Our main activity is now those slot machines in Biloxi, Mississippi every 3 months...plus keeping an 2 acre lawn mowed, a large garden kept up and planted, plus caring for 25 roses (which are beautiful I might add).
We enjoy our three cats, Smokey, Butterscotch, and Franklin, and if anyone is interested at all in seeing our area please check out the web site at http://www.franklin-chamber.com/. This will give you an idea of the beauty that we are surrounded by each day.
