Born in Vienna. After finishing the studies on oboe and after working perennially as oboist with the Vienna Symphonic Orcherstra and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra he changed to vocal training. Studies at the University for Music and descriptive Arts in Vienna at Prof. KS Hilde R�ssel-Majdan and Prof. Walter Berry.
Engagements as a solist in operas, operettas, songs and oratorios brought the lyric baritone to Japan, to the USA, Southamerica and to various countries of Europe. Zu Georg Lehners Repertoire z�hlen, neben dem franz�sischen und deutschen Fach, vor allem die Opern von W.A. Mozart (Figaros Hochzeit, Don Giovanni, Cos� fan tutte, Zauberfl�te und La finta Giardiniera). 2003 sang Georg Lehner den Valentin in Gounods "Faust" und die B�sewichte in "Hoffmanns Erz�hlungen" von Offenbach, das Brahms' "Requiem" mit den Wiener Symphonikern in Wien, "Magnificat" und "Weihnachtsoratorium" von J.S. Bach in Dresden und Wien, sowie bei Neujahrskonzerten in Florida.
