First Solo

Scud launchers where in the hands of maniac terrorist that needed to be destroyed. NightWing being the only operative in the area (or just the dumbest for believing that) had to take them out before they used them. Dropped off in a valley of ice and surrounded by snow capped mountains, this was his first solo mission and he wasnt sure if he was ready for it. The only exit was an opening in the mountain that too eerily reminded him of a great white shark opening its jaws to eat its victim. Equipped with the M4 riffle with grenade launcher, 4 satchel charges, and a laser designator, he sets off find out if hes got what it takes. NightWings earpiece sounds out, Bravo this is King 6. Intel has confirmed that there are scuds in your area. Take them out. Bravo watch for patrols along your route.
Intel always states the obvious. NightWing mumbled to himself as he exited the shadows of the vale. Man I hate the snow.
Bravo this is King 6, there is a patrol to the west along your route. Stay quite and avoid contact.
He laughs to himself Do they think Im going to try to shakes hands with them and ask to blow up their scuds? Well I was dumb enough to take this mission.
Laying down in the frozen tundra, he begins his slow crawl to a small ridge in front of him. its a large open valley with a large steep rocky hill in the center. At the base of the hill h sees two scud launchers prepped for firing and a communication dish with two men on watch.
What the hell did I get my self into. Two guards to the north, patrols to the west. I cant shoot the two in front of me with out giving away my position. I better start crawling to the east to find a better spot. As he moves like a snake through the cold damp snow, he starts realizing why no one wanted this mission. It was a do or die, kill or be killed. He knew he had to wipe out all enemies he came across, cause if they caught him he would die. They would sport him like some kind of hunting trophy. His mutilated body being broadcasted on every news channel there was as proof of their defiance to the world.
Reaching his destination, he scans his targets again. Mmmm I got a good clean shot at the two guards and Im too far away for the patrol to spot me. He readies his M4 and sites in his targets knowing that once he starts he cant stop.
The ringing of two rifle shots echo through the silent valley. The shouts of the patrol could be heard raising the alarm of the camp. Two bodies lay in the blood soaked snow never knowing what hit them. NightWing was already on the move, not giving time for the patrol to hunt him down. At a full out run, he pulls out two satchels and tosses one at each scud. Not stopping he charges around the north side of the hill for cover as he detonates the charges.
As he feels the deafening blast at his back that destroys the launchers his earpiece comes to life, Bravo this is King 6. The area is secure move on to your next target. He almost stumbles from laughing. Secure? Hell I still have a patrol looking for me and probably pissed ass hell cuz I killed two of their men and blew up there scuds. I wonder what they think hostile is.
Rounding the north west side of the hill, he readies his riffle and lays back down to crawl in this frozen hell hole. As he crest the ridge, 3 more launchers come to into view, right along with five armed guards. With his scope he scans the tundra for a patrol and almost pees his pants as he finds two more guards to his right less than 80 meters away.
Behind the launchers is the main camp, surrounded by chain link fence, three towers, and probably a butt load of men, and supposedly there was one or two more launchers in there.
Great NightWing sighed. How in the world am I going to pull this one off? He readied his favorite toy, the grenade launcher and said Its a beautiful day to die. He had to time this just right, lobbing a nade at the two guards, he switch back to the burst on his riffle and charged, not waiting to see if the nade killed the men. Reaching the first launcher he shot all three very surprised terrorist. Before the last one could drop he turned his aim on the fourth guard next to the other launcher and fired. The man never had time to raise his riffle or scream as the bullet penetrated his neck. Bullets started to fly all around NightWing as he dove behind the second launcher for cover. Looking through his site he nailed the last two guards over 300m away.
Bullets where bouncing off the launcher he was hiding behind as he tried to crawl forward. Damn snipers have me pinned. he growled. Switching to semi he took aim at the first tower that came into sight. Pulling the trigger once, twice, two snipers dropped. I hate snipers, they are so annoying.
Another bullet whizzed by his head, reminding him he was still in danger. Came around the corner and took aim again dropping another two snipers. While reading his launcher, he placed a satchel next to the scud. He got up an ran backwards towards the third scud, launching two nades at the first scud. Turning around to run at a full bore, he heard that his aim was true. Switching back to burst he opened fire at the other guards at the front of the camp as he ran by taking out four more of the scum. Running past the last missile he tossed a satchel at it while pulling out his detonator. Click. Boom! followed by a shower of metal is what he heard as he ran for cover.
Scud confirmed destroyed. Last scud located south of the camp. was the only other sound he heard. Not stopping to find out if the enemy was coming for him or if any was left he headed to the south side of camp. As he crested the corner of the camp, he found what he was looking for. He was filled with excitement like a scuba diver who found lost treasure. He knew this was it and he can get the hell out of here. He loaded his nade launcher and fired. Sskaplunk went the launcher. BOOM! Sskaplunk it went again with a finale resounding BOOM!
   Scud confirmed destroyed. Mission over.
Too bad NightWing was too close to the scud.
