| 05.19.04 Okay, I've finally parked myself a *real* place on the web, which was prompted by other reason than Lego. In fact, the Lego portion is last to be developed. But it's taking shape and this website will soon be obsolte. Still diging BrikWars, I'm just going to do it from someplace less restrictive. So, watch that main page for the big change at some point over the summer. Groove on you BrikWarriors. 01.09.04 More to come I've been meaning to update this, but I'm big, fat slacker. Yahoo! finally forced my hand by threatening to delete the site if I didn't do something to it soon. Not to mention that 2003 wasn't a banner year for BrikWar for me. Although, I did manage to finish the new BrikWars PDF. You should go download it now. In 2003, I played two games (actually 1 1/2), both with NELUG. The first one, The Sword of Agot, was my introdution to multiplayer BrikWar and massive troops. It got a little bogged down with so many troops and the magic. In the end, I think I lost tons of troops to dragonfire and only three turns passed. The game was put on hold (because like 10 hours had passed) and Part II was played at a later date that I couldn't make. The second game was, by far, one of the best BrikWar games I've ever been a party to. Massive destruction, based on the Bubblegum Crisis anime. Next month NELUG is participating in a small gaming con in New Hampshire. Two BrikWar games will be played and I'm (hopefully) running the second one. A TL 6 game loosly based on the Space Hulk game. More later. 11.20.02 When I said I was in the middle, I guess I meant an annual middle. Sigh. Okay, I haven't gotten that far. Worse, I haven't gotten far enough on the new pdf of the newest ruleset. Ugh, that's really dragging on - sorry. But I did manage to throw up links to my brickshelf folders containing pics from verious games. Right now it's just the pics, someday I'll actually get around to the write ups. Some of them are amusing. Groove on, BrikWarriors. 07.11.02 Azar! Well, I'm in the middle of an update here. First, I've added the new house rules section we're mysteriously calling S.W.U.B.S. Well, it's not really that mysterious. Most of the rules are in a constant state of flux. We've tried hard to work out the Spell System, and I'm pretty proud of it, even if it's a little clunky. But everything else could probably use somekind of oil change. We're also gearing up to detail a few games we've had over the last six months or so that were not documented earlier. Most of the pics are up on Brickshelf, but I can't direct to the whole BW folder as THAT is still off-line as of yet. I've also hit my 15 MB mark on geocities. Sheesh, that seemed to go fast. Anyway, I'm forced to use put some content on my ISP provided space. So you might notice that the URL changes as you dance thru the site. I think that covers it. More to come - hopefully soon. 04.07.02 Whoo-hoo! BrikWars.com has posted my pdf of the Spring 2000 ruleset. Now go there download it and bask in the glory! 03.13.02 Ugh! It's been awhile, but BrikWars is constantly on my mind. I was close to finishing a write up of that homebrewed spell system and start work on the pics and game write up. But it's taken a backseat to my son's birth and the oh-so-time consuming infant care right now. I actually have a whole other game we played a few weeks ago to document as well. A nice big battle with tanks, mech and a quaint little town that was a real blast to play. Unfortunately, it looks like that may have been the last big game for quite awhile. Oh well, there's still skimishes. 12.03.01 Well, this page is new. I know; super exciting. Anyway, I thought I'd add a What's New page for anyone that really cares. Or not... First, the Red Moon game we played a few months ago is probably moving. Not that it's complete here, but Sean really is into the USSR (go figure) and will probably host the pics and write up whenever he gets around to it. BTW, the images alone are here on Brickshelf. No write up, but it might be fun to look at. Second, we had a medieval game on 11.17.01. I have the pics, but it's not set up yet. We created a spell system that I think -with some tweaking- could be really useful. I'll post that stuff in the House Rules section, as soon as I get around to it. |
