The 1st Fleet is assigned the role of protecting the Terran territory and assets of the GTG. This is the most numerous fleet, as its duties also include supervising training and maintaining the various "Raiders", Special Ops vessels, and various experimental and prototype craft. It is based at the GTDF Shipyards in Terran orbit.
2ND (Expeditionary Force Alpha)
The 2nd Fleet is one of the two large Expeditionary forces. These are the battlegroups that would be used in any large scale offensive against another faction. The 2nd Fleet is based at the GTDF Shipyards above Terra.
3RD (Expeditionary Force Beta)
The 3rd Fleet is the second Expeditionary force. Like its counterpart, it is used as an offensive force when the GTG is engaged in armed conflict with another power. The 3rd Fleet is based at the GTDF Shipyards above Terra.
4TH (Caligar Defence) Fleet
The 4th Fleet is a smaller fighting unit assigned to protect the territorial and economic assets in the Caligar System. The fleet is based at the GTDF Docks orbiting Caligar Prime.
5TH (Diomede Defence) Fleet
The 5th fleet, like the 4th, is a smaller Fleet assigned to protect its base in the Diomede system. The 5th Fleet is based at the GTDF Docks orbiting Diomede IV.
6TH (Escort) Fleet
This Fleet has been assigned the role of protecting military and civilian convoy groups, policing space lanes, stellar and interstellar mapping, and in aiding planetside Customs and Security forces. This Fleet is based at the GTDF Shipyards orbiting Terra.
