History
Legolin and older brother Legolas
Legolin Greenriver was born in Mirkwood around the year 2000 of the Third Age of Middle Earth, 1000 years before the war of the ring. He was the younger brother of Legolas Greenleaf and the son of Thranduil, King of the Silvan wood elves of Greenwood.

In the evil days of the Necromancer of Dol Guldur, King Thranduil sent his wife and young son to the Grey Havens in western Arda to live with Cirdan the shipwright. Here young Legolin grew to manhood, a young elf strong in mind and body.

In the white tower of Cirdan, Legolin worked in the shipyards, but never found happiness. Although he lived constantly near the call of the sea, it seemed to have to no effect on him. Instead he could always be found wandering in the woods and plains near the town.

Finally, Legolin reached the age of manhood, and studied to be a woodsman under the tutalige of Ramil the Ranger. After some time Legolin was able to set out on his own, soon becoming well traveled and a friend of many.

Using the fair valley of Rivendell as a home and under the protection of the elf lord Elrond, Legolin began his many adventures!
