Thanx :) Emily swallowed hard. She could feel death, it was about to capture her, drag her into it’s cold waters. She closed her eyes. She decided to except death, considering she couldn’t fight. The sword came closer and closer to her neck, the sword was about to cut into her skin, she took a long breath. Nothing happened. Against her own will, she opened her eyes. Emily could see the Dwarf, unconscious, propped up against the stone wall. Aragorn was clutching his arm, and was preparing to attack. Legolas grabbed Emily’s arm and dragged her over to the horses. Reality clicked into her awareness, and the two of them quickly mounted. Legolas and Emily brought their horses to a full gallop, pushing the horses beyond their limits. They couldn’t hear anyone coming after them yet they didn’t dare stop, for the fear of being ambushed. Emily began to feel panic overtaking her. She bit down on her lip and forced herself to be calm. Legolas could feel death following them, and he knew that they must get to the goddess of magic soon. He also realized that the horses were getting very tired and was about to pass to them Elvish healing when they suddenly began to glow an olive green. He turned to Emily and found that she was glowing too. Emily realized Legolas was staring at her. She gave him a weak smile. “I posses magic too. I gave the horses strength and healing.” She sighed and looked forward. It wasn’t the first time someone had stared at her because of her magic. Even though the Prince and a few other knights had magic too, she was considered weird because she was a GIRL with magic. For one thing, she didn’t think having magic was a bad thing and two, she was a woman, not a girl. Legolas sensed something wrong with Emily, a sadness had taken over her face. Emily suddenly let out a gasp. Legolas turned to her “What is it?” “We’re already in Lineri!” Legolas looked at the city. The city itself was almost devoid of any light except for a few buildings. Behind the downtown was the castle. “We must go to the hall now though there will be the king’s guards out, or at least that’s my guess.” Emily informed Legolas. They brought their horses through the downtown area of the city, towards the temple of the mother goddess of magic. Emily had a quick word with the stable hand, James, and their horses were taken care of. They quickly slipped into the large temple. They came to a large stone altar, the water inside glowing a magnificent blue. Emily outstretched her hand and placed it in the middle of the altar. Legolas could only watch her, for he couldn’t make any part of him move. A flash of light filled the room. The goddess of magic appeared, blue robes swaying around her body, her eyes were openings into a void of darkness. Emily took the crystal and handed it to the goddess. She shook her head. “No child, you must take the crystal to Kalidurin. A spell has been cast upon two members from the company your companion has come with. Take it there, and the spell can be destroyed. Go now!” The goddess threw up her hands, and she disappeared. Legolas and Emily were left, alone. Emily held the crystal on the palm of her hand, and she felt evil trapping her. Chapter 5 Legolas and Emily entered the stables once again, about to take two new horses and start the second part of the journey. No one was around, and the horses didn’t take any notice of them. Legolas move a few strands of hair from Emily’s face. Instead of moving away, Emily turned to Legolas and looked into his eyes. “I’m falling.” Legolas cupped her chin with his hand and raised her lips to his. Emily threw her arms around him and kissed him back. His hands ran down her back, Emily’s hands traced the side of his face. Emily didn’t care what happened next, as long as she was with him. Her hands slid to the edge of his tunic, as did his to hers. Her one hand went to the pregnancy charm around her neck, feeling it hum gently. “Who’s in here?” the prince asked. The words pounded Emily’s ears, and she quickly broke away from Legolas, his arms still around her waist. “Emily, is that you?” the prince questioned happily. Emily said nothing. “Oh Emily, I’ve missed you!” Emily stared at him, dumbfounded. “Wh-what do you mean?” “I love you, I’ve missed you.” The prince told her as he came forward. He froze. “Who is that? Emily, watch out! There’s an Elf behind you!” The prince came towards her, but Emily only backed up until she came up to Legolas’s chest. He took her hand in his. The prince spotted Legolas. “Emily, behind you! There’s an Elf! He’ll kill you!” When Emily did not move away, the prince realized what had happened. “You can’t seriously love him, can you?” The prince demanded of Emily. Emily didn’t say anything. Instead, she turned to Legolas and kissed him, shocking both the prince and Legolas. Emily and Legolas lost their surroundings, until they heard the unsheathing of the prince’s sword. Turning quickly, Legolas unsheathed his own two daggers, holding off the prince. “Emily, leave! Go while you can!” Legolas demanded of Emily. Emily didn’t move, her hand slipping to her own sword. “Emily, please.” Legolas pleaded, meeting Emily’s eyes. She turned to her horse and forced it onwards, forcing herself to leave Legolas behind. You’ll see him again. She told herself. But you must do this. Legolas watched as she left, not knowing whether they meet again.
