Title: Betrayal is Never Forgiven By: Linya Rated: G Feedback: tgsgv@balandra.uabcs.mx Dear Readers, this is my first try at Fan fiction and I am very nervous so please be nice when you review, but I am always up to suggestions and don't be afraid to tell me if I'm doing something wrong. This story is basically a Legolas romance, not a slash and the fellowship is on their way to destroy the ring when they are come upon by a troublesome stranger ( a love for Legolas ) and they discover that there is a traitor in their midst. If you are in love with Boromoir don't read this because he's kinda the bad guy. None of these characters belong to me except Analae, Which is pronounced Ah-nah-lay. Pleaseeeee r/r. Chapter One- The fellowship wandered through the woods, it had been a very tiring day and there was still much walking to do. Legolas trailed behind the hobbits making sure that they didn't stray off. It had only been yesterday when they spotted Merry dangerously far from the trail looking for food. Frodo spoke to Sam, "I will be very happy when this ring is destroyed, it only brings my heart sadness." Pippin trotted between the middle of Frodo and Sam, "Yeah and as soon as that ring is destroyed we can feast like kings!" Merry nodded. "By the way, I'm hungry." Legolas dropped gracefully down from a tree landing in front of the hobbits. He tossed them each a nice round and scrumptious looking apple. The hobbits' eyes lit up and they each gave Legolas a pat on the back. "What would we do with out ya?" Before Legolas could respond to that remark Aragorn called from ahead, "We will sleep here tonight." The sun had set and all the fellowship lay asleep. Except for Legolas that is. Elves don't need sleep; they just take in their surroundings and occasionally dream. Legolas lay there looking up at the stars and thinking of his homeland. It was true that he was the prince of Mirkwood, but even Gimli knew that Legolas would trade all of it in for a good adventure. Just then Legolas' ears perked up. Something was near and he knew it. Legolas heard a creature that seemed like it was trying to sneak up behind some bushes. Although it made Legolas curious, he didn't feel threatened or like the noise was dangerous. Quickly Legolas snuck behind a tree and readied his arrow. A hooded figure stepped into the clearing where the fellowship lie asleep and crept over to where their food and weapon supply was. It looked around as shrieked when Legolas was right behind it with an arrow ready. The fellowship was up in a second. Legolas pointed his arrow towered the heart of the creature and spoke, "Who are you and what is your business here?" The eyes of the fellowship tried to catch a glimpse at the face under the hood but it seemed impossible. Before anyone knew it the creature tossed itself upon Legolas and there was a struggle. Aragorn quickly came upon the creature with his sword and wondered why Legolas hadn't shot. It was not even a second before Legolas had the creature pinned. The hood fell back and the face was exposed, it was an elven maiden. Legolas got up but never lessened his grip on the girl. Aragorn looked at the girl who had dirt smudges on her cheeks and said, "What were you trying to steal exactly? We don't have much as you can see." She said nothing. Boromoir snickered, "The way she looks she is no doubt more than a common thief we may as well let her go." Aragorn acted as if he didn't hear Boromoir and spoke once again. "Did Sauron send you?" The girl still wouldn't speak. Legolas lessened his grip and before he knew it the girl whirled on him and grabbed one of his knives and tried to stab Boromoir. Of course it didn't work though because Legolas quickly grabbed her again and took back his knife. The girl glared at Boromoir and said, "I am not a thief and he would be able to tell you exactly what I want." Frodo looked at the girl, "Do you know of the ring?" The girl just kept glaring at Boromoir. He spoke to Aragorn, "Clearly she's after the ring, and we can not let her go." Aragorn nodded and brought some rope over to where Legolas had the girl so that she couldn't move. It took ten minutes just to bind the girls hands behind her back. Gimli spoke up, "How are we supposed to trust another elf? This one is even more dangerous than Legolas. Legolas finished tying the girl to the tree and looked at Gimli, "Anything seems dangerous to a dwarf." Aragorn shook his head, now that this is all over we better get some sleep. Legolas, can you keep watch over our newfound trouble maker?" Legolas smiled and nodded to Gimli, "Which one?" Gimli growled, "Oh you're hilarious elf." Legolas sat across from the girl whom was still tied to the tree. The tree was not far from where the rest of the fellowship lay, but just far enough so that they wouldn't be bothered. Legolas' crystal blue eyes took her in for the first time. She was indeed elven and had beautiful skin the color of vanilla and hair the color of wheat. She looked somewhat dirty and her dress was slightly torn. Legolas was tempted to talk to the girl, but decided against it. Obviously she wasn't in a talking mood. Still, Legolas was curious as to why she gave him such a weird feeling; he would see what it meant later on. Analae stood tied to the tree and glanced at the fellowship that were sleeping in the near distance. Directly across from her sat an elf that was assigned to keep watch over her. Even though he seemed to be one of the fellowships and was keeping her from her mission she would've loved to have met him under other circumstances. The glared back at Boromoir, little did the fellowship know that they had such a traitor in their midst. Analae studied the ground and thought of how she could escape. It was impossible. She should've never gotten caught in the first place. The plan was to get the medallion that was hanging around Boromoir's neck. It was a token that belonged to her mother; Boromoir had taken it along with Analae's virginity. He killed her mother trying to get at Analae and now it was time for revenge. Analae fought the tears that wanted to come as she remembered her family back home. She didn't have one, just a father that left when she was a baby. It was said that he was human and that Analae was half human also. She hated that. The rope that bound her to the tree was tight and Analae decided to spend her time trying to get out of them instead of remembering hard times. Anyways, who knew? Maybe she could try to warn the fellowship that Boromoir is just in the fellowship so that he can try to take the ring from Frodo. Analae carefully began to rub her wrists up against the back of the tree trying to cut the rope. She quickly stopped as the elf keeping watch walked up to her. "The rope is a gift from Galadriel, I assure you that it won't break." Analae decided to respond to that. "Does this mean that you're an elf from Lothlorien?" Legolas gave a soft smile, obviously she didn't know that he was the prince of Mirkwood and that was a good thing in the eyes of Legolas. He wondered where she what made her decide to speak so he gladly continued the conversation ignoring the fact that she was, I guess you could say, their prisoner. "Actually, I am from Mirkwood. Surely you are not from that realm or else I would've remembered you." "You're right, I'm not." "What is you're name?" "What is yours?" "Legolas." "Analae." "That's a very beautiful name Analae." Legolas decided that obviously she didn't want to talk much. He decided to get serious. "What were you doing at our site?" "I wasn't stealing anything. Just taking what was mine back. He's the thief." "Who?" "Boromoir. He's wearing a medallion that belonged to my mother." "Did your mother give it to him? Why aren't you with her?" Analae remained silent for a second and then looked deep into Legolas' eyes. "Can I trust you?" Legolas didn't break their gaze, but replied, "Can I trust you?" Analae shifted in her bonds and said, "Boromoir killed my mother, he took it from her when he and his men were raiding my village. I only came to get it back. Then I heard that he was in the fellowship and I knew how corrupt his heart was and felt that I had to warn you. That was my plan until I decided that Boromoir would go after me when he found out that the medallion was gone and then you wouldn't have to worry about him." "How do I know that all this is true? How do I know that you're not just trying to-" Legolas was cut off by the awakening of the fellowship, and most importantly, Boromoir. "Legolas!" Boromoir yelled, "I advise you to keep your distance from that girl, she will surely try to cause you harm as she did me earlier." Legolas walked over towards Aragorn thinking if he should tell of what the girl had said. No, he thought. I will keep an eye out on Boromoir though in case what she says is true. And in his heart, he knew that it was. Legolas stroked his horse Arod as he thought over the girl. She seemed to be scarred by something, but he knew that their was still a fire in her. Legolas' thoughts were interrupted as Aragorn shouted, "Orcs!"
