But darkness still lurks, Saruman is calling together Sauron’s followers, they all want all Middle Earth’s people to suffer, everyone who went against Sauron and let the darkness, take over… Grima Wormtongue hurried towards the throne room, in Orthanc Tower, were his master Saruman the White was sat on his black throne. “Yes, master,” Grima, said weakly as her entered the room. It had been almost a year since Sauron, the Dark Lord, had been defeated. The Orcs and Uruk-Hai had been destroyed, only a few hundred were left. Since the defeat, Saruman had been studying every book he had, for what Grima didn’t know. “They think they have defeated us, Grima. How wrong they are.” Saruman said turning pages in a black book. “Pass me my drink.” Grima walked forward picking up the golden goblet and placing it in his masters’ hand. “What have you found, master?” “What we need to conquer Middle Earth, Grima. Elves, good aren’t they, but what if that change?” “How?” “Sauron had followers, daemon spirits, whose powers were to possess other creatures.” “But how will that help us bring back Sauron, master?” “Not that, but this will.” Saruman place the black book back on the shelf and pulled out another. Saruman open it on a page and handed it to Grima, his eyes widened. “But it has no been seen since the First Age.” “It is not that we need to worry about, it is the Enchanters…” “But, master, they are dead, all of them,” Saruman sipped his blood red wine. “Oh, they are far from dead, Grima, very far.” Saruman walked towards his caldron, black smoke rising from it, “Come and look Grima,” Grima walked closer and peered in the brew. He could see four girls and two boys, dressed oddly, “Master it is them!” Suddenly the brew began to hiss, and white light came form the centre, “What is this?” Saruman said. When the light had died, Saruman and Grima looked, a picture of one of girls and Legolas Greenleaf where together, around them was a red celtic heart, Saruman’s eyes lit up, “My, my,” he whispered. “What does this mean?” asked Grima. “It means Legolas and this girl are soul mates, they are destined to be together, but if she joined the dark side, raises Sauron with us and sit by the side Sauron, Legolas’ heart would break… and we all know what happens to elves who have their hearts broken, don’t we, Grima? *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~*~ Chapter 3: Sixteen years before Sun Kingdom was in ruin, orcs killing everything in sight. “Hurry,” Artemis rushed up the stairs to the nursery, followed by Gandalf the Grey and two of her maids. Artemis pushed the door open, picked up two babies and wrapped them each in a silk blanket. “The Star Tower will fall, Gandalf, Sun Kingdom will be lost, I want my babies as far away from Middle Earth as possible.” Artemis placed a baby in one of her maid’s hands. “But goddess, sending them away from Middle Earth, they could defeat this evil.” Gandalf said. “They are only babies, Gandalf, defenceless, little babies,” “Send them to their grandparents in Rivendell or to their great grandparents in Lothlórien. Aresa and Athena would be protected there.” Gandalf said trying to make Artemis reconsider. “Protected, yes Gandalf, but not safe.” Artemis handed Athena to the other maid. “That is what Sauron wants… the others have been sent away.” “But Artemis…” “No, Gandalf, my mind is made up,” Artemis turned to her maids, “Go with Gandalf, find the babies a home, then when you return go to Rivendell.” She laid kisses on the babies’ heads. Gandalf didn’t look pleased. “The Elves will not like this.” “It is not their decision.” “Very well, goddess.” The maids followed Gandalf in the dark woods, and turning to see the Star Tower go up in flames…. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~*~ Chapter 4: The Fall of Lórien Elrond hurried out of his study. He glided down a small flight of steps and a young elf lead him to a room, were wounded elves lay across beds. “What has happened?” Elrond demanded. Lord Celeborn entered the room, “Ah, Lord Celeborn maybe you can shed some light on this.” “Come to the study I wish to speak we you, alone,” whispered Celeborn. Elrond followed his father-in-law. Celeborn pushed the door to the study open and took a seat. Elrond was expecting to see the Lady Galadriel but she was no were in sight. “Where is the Lady Galadriel, Lord Celeborn?” asked Elrond. “I shall start at the beginning, Elrond,” Lord Celeborn said sadly “Galadriel had been feeling a shadow in the kingdom of Lórien. I sent Haldir and some archers to investigate, they returned a short while later with hundreds of orcs and Uruks, I asked him what he was doing, but Haldir and the archers had changed, it was their eyes, so black they were. Haldir began to speak in Black Speech then lifted a glass ball and smashed it on the ground, dark spirits came out and into the bodies of the elves, one entered Galadriel, I came to her aid but she had changed like Haldir, her eyes they were black. There were orcs and Uruk Hai everywhere. We escaped on horses, and we made our way here. There was nothing I could do.” Tears began to fall from his eyes. “Don’t fear Celeborn, we shall undo this evil.” Elrond said comforting him. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~* Chapter 5: Running Legolas ran as fast as he could, praying nobody heard him. He hid in the shadow of a large oak tree. Elves ran past him, not noticing Legolas in the darkness. They once his kin, his people, not any more. Bodies to be used by daemons, slaves of Sauron and Saruman. When all was safe, Legolas thought it would be better to climb the trees and escape to Rivendell that way. With his elven grace he climbed the tall oak and silently jumped from branch to branch. Legolas wondered if his parents had reached Rivendell yet. It would be late afternoon before he got there, that is if, he survived the night… *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~* Chapter 6: Coven Frigg pushed open the front door, and walked inside. She threw her school bag on the floor, and headed for her bedroom. “I’m here,” Frigg said as she pushed open the door. Frigg looked at the five people in front of her. “Well it’s about time,” said Selena who was sitting on her beanbag. Frigg smiled as she looked round. Ben was in the corner playing with an incense stick, his brown hair combed back, his chocolate brown eyes, pale skin covered with freckles. Mark lighting candles, his hair and eyes like the fire, his skin a ghostly white. Moly drawing a circle in the middle of the room, her dirty blonde hair in a ponytail her brown eyes lit up when Frigg came in. Her pale skin covered with freckles. June sat reading a spell book, she looked up, her hazel eyes met Friggs’ green ones, her pure blonde hair shone like gold, Friggs’ hair was a chestnut. Both pale skin. Finally there was Selena Brigit, but no one ever called her, ‘Selena Brigit, ’ unless the wanted to die of course, her hair was a mixture of ebony, brown, blonde and firey red her eyes were v. unusual, blue/green with a tint of amethyst in them. Her skin was olive. “So… what have we got?” Moly asked. “This,” June said passing an old book to Moly, the others looked, “Were did you get it?” asked Mark. “I found it in Nan’s room,” June replied, “I thought we could the first spell,” “We are so not,” Selena answered back, (June and Selena were twins, June being the oldest). “We’re all witches aren’t we,” June said. “Selena’s right, Nan would kill us,” Ben said. “I’ll do it!” Frigg shouted. “Me too!” Mark said. “We’ll be down stairs then,” Moly said. Selena, Moly and Ben went down stairs, while the others did the spell. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~* Chapter 7: Meeting Sunlight shone through the willow trees as the council meeting began. "As you know Saruman has summoned daemons and followers of Sauron. The daemons have taken over most of the people of Lórien and Mirkwood,” Elrond stopped and looked at King Thranduil, Queen Coralwen and Prince Legolas, “Saruman is trying to regain power.” “What are we to do?” cried Frodo. “If Saruman is trying to bring back the Ring of Power and Sauron there is only one thing we can do…” Gandalf said looking through a silver book. “Is to bring back the Enchanters,” “No!” said Elaine, “They are too young!” “Elaine, we need them,” Elrond said. “No, Elrond, you trusted me with the children, they are too young to fight.” *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~* Chapter 8: In Middle Earth The spell had begun; in a flash of light the three witches were blinded. They open their eyes and gasped. “Oh, Hell.” said June. Round the kids people stared at them. Two had bow and arrows aimed in there direction. “I ama calla ra festa?” asked the blonde archer. “Pardon?” asked Mark confused. “Oh God!” cried Frigg, “We’re in Middle Earth!” That when they saw Nan. “Nan what are you doing here!” cried June. “I was about to ask you the same question,” Elaine said darkly. By now the council was confused, as much as the kids were. An old man got up and began to speak. “My elven friend asked you if you are spies of Sauron or Saruman, I am Gandalf the White.” “No, they’re half of the Enchanters,” answered Elaine. “We sorry Nan, June found your book and…” Mark started. “So that’s were it disappeared too, now I can get home, have you got it?” Elaine asked. “Erm, no, I must have dropped it,” Elrond smiled, “Bring three more chairs, Dóin,” He said to a servant. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~* Chapter 9: Waiting In the library at Rivendell. “What the hell are they doing?” Frigg moaned. “Calm down I’m sure they are doing something…” said Mark, who was playing chess with the hobbits. “Mark’s right, I’m sure Selena, Moly and Ben are doing something.” June said she was reading an elvish book, the council meeting finished an hour ago. They had been introduced to very one. ********************* In Elrond’s study “Do you think we should tell them now?” Aragorn said. “I don’t know, Elaine?” Elrond asked. “Nay, I think we should wait until the other three come,” Elaine replied. “But the demons, they will come for them.” Legolas said worriedly. “Aye!” shouted Gimli. “We must be prepared,” said Gandalf. The six beings left the study and entered the library. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~* Chapter 10: Fight “Lord Elrond, is there a way we can see the others?” asked June. “Yes,” Elrond said smiling, he placed a large crystal on the table, they gathered round and everyone watched as two figures appeared and they began to speak. “Where the hell are you!” Selena shouted through the room. “No, there not here, Selena.” Moly said. The power had gone and all they had was a torch. “Well they can’t have just disappeared!” Moly looked at Selena, “OK, so they could have disappeared, but where?” That ’s when she saw the book. “What the hell?” Moly said as she flicked through the pages. “What is this scribble?” “Kinda looks like… elvish.” “You reading LOTR’s!” “That was three years ago! Anyway I don’t know if it is. Damn it Moly, were the hell are they?” “Middle Earth?” “That is so not helping… I just pray they haven’t done anything stupid.” Scratch. “Erm…Selena what was that?” “What was what?” Scratch. “That.” “It’s just mice, come on, Moly.” An evil laugh. “Did you hear that Selena?” “NO!” An another evil laugh. “OK, I heard it that time.” Moly and Selena turned around, suddenly a black knife flew towards Moly, and Selena pushed her out the way. “Selena…” “Yeah,” “Since when do mice throw knives?” “Kick ass first, jokes later, Moly.” The two girls stared into the darkness, and out of the shadow stepped an orc, it snarled at them, showing it’s fangs, mixed with blood and rotten flesh. “The book…” it said harshly. “Sorry, I don’t give books to…erm…things, that uses my friend as a dart board.” “I don’t think we should argue with it,” Moly said frightened. “Very well, I’ll kill you, rip out your insides, then roast them on a fire and eat them.” “I don’t know about you, Moly, but I didn’t find that funny,” The orc looked confused. “You obviously haven’t heard of sarcasm,” Selena said. The orc drew his sword and ran towards Selena. Selena dodge out the way. The orc was loosing his patience; he swung his sword at her, cutting her arm. “Sh…” Selena bit her lip, stopping her swearing. She flipped back and pulled the black knife from the wall, “Here,” she said sticking her heel in the orcs chest “A little present,” and she forced the knife into it’s head, the orc fell dead at her feet. The carpet and her hands covered in black blood. “Are you OK?” Moly rushed to Selena’s side. “Better than he is.” Selena said staring at the orc body as it disappeared. “That’s a deep cut,” “Hey guys,” Ben came in smiling, but soon faded, seeing the blood on Selena’ s hands and the carpet. “What the hell died here?” “Do you really wanna know?” Selena said, her own red blood flowing down her arm like a river… The three figures faded. “Oh my god, we gotta get back, Selena’s injured!” June cried. “I’m sorry,” said Gandalf, “But without the book…” **************************************************
