RULES
Oogie Boogie says “You’d better pay attention, now…”
Contest Purpose:
To Stimulate creativity in the LEGO community
Entry Guidelines:
There are 4 categories
1. Minifig Customs
2. Diorama (Including Custom fig or not)
3. Sculpture/Structure
4.Vehicle
Guidelines for Category 1:
Minifig customs must show creativity and ingenuity. Because some
of Tim Burton’s characters aren’t quite conducive to Minifigs themselves, we
ask that you create your character at Minifig scale (such as a Minifig-Scale
Oogie Boogie or Santa). Custom should be built of AT LEAST 75%
LEGO-manufactured pieces. In the best situations, your creation will be 100%
LEGO, but, if you feel you need to, use Clone Bricks or Clay/Putty/Whatever
else SPARINGLY.
Painting is allowed and encouraged.
Guidelines for Category 2:
Minifig customs must show creativity and ingenuity. When including
custom Minifigs, please follow the rules above. The Diorama itself should not
be larger than 16 studs by 32 studs. The diorama is intended to recreate a
scene from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and thus will be judged as to how
well it accomplishes this scene. Think of this as the Movie set on which Tim
Burton is "filming”.
Dioramas must be comprised of 100% LEGO Bricks. We're
stimulating creativity here, let's give the community some innovation using
Bricks, not Femo. :)
Guidelines for Category 3:
Because of the overwhelming call for a sculpture category, and
my desire for a structure category, I’ve added category 3…
Sculpture or structure size is boundless, but either must be
comprised of 100% LEGO Bricks. They’ll
be judged on how well they portray that item in the movie…
Guidelines for Category 4:
Category 4 was added due to the amount of vehicles in NBC…
Vehicles may be depicted at minifig or miniland (as seen in LEGO
theme parks) scales. They must comprise
of 100% LEGO Bricks.
