Coterie:
The Roanne Agency
Started by the unification, under the rule of Alexis, of a group of Neonates who would replace, should it be needed, missing members of the Veilleurs, this group was named the ''Roanne Agency'' ironically, as it implosed because of internal treasons just as its leader, the Gangrel Juan, finished ''building'' a mortal detective agency called the ''Roanne'' who would cover the Coterie members in a similar, albeit less powerful, way that the D.S.T. covered the Veilleurs.
The Coterie is now divided, with the more acute division between the Bâtarde Catherine and the Toreador Dominique.
History
Destiny
Some have argued about the arrogance of the leader of the Coterie, Juan, about how he could have named the agency with a name whose prounciation was so similar with his own name. Others point at the Lasombra Roanne, who disappeared in the Dark Ages after the Templar affairs.
François Villon: Prince of Paris and France
Villon accepted the creation of this new Coterie in 1990, and was saddened to see his own protégé not taking the reigns of power, letting a Gangrel, Juan, take the power. When Dominique intrigued to raise his own status, his intrigue was so ridiculous Villon almost believed someone had Dominated him to do it. And when Cath produced her own defense, accusing Dominique of the same offense, but without the excuse of working for Alexis, the Prince of France was more sad than angered by such childish behaviour between the two Kindred. He condemned them to lose every possession they had, and to live together until he chose otherwise. He was not surprised to see the whole Coterie fall into a nest of petty intrigues and decided to forget about the whole idea. The Veilleur apprentices lost their ''apprenticeship'' before even knowing they had one. Still, he respects the group, who have shown they could work together if needed: Their trip to the Sabbat-controlled Tampico, and the murder of the Archbishop of the city, Ugo, is a well kept secret, but it didn't stopped the Prince from giving a good opinion of their power, if not of their unity.
What do you think about:
Alexis: While Alexis is usually
a good lieutenant, I wonder if he didn't make a great mistake
in uniting these Kindred. Still, I trust he will use them at
their fullest potential... Or permanently remove the danger
they represent, should the need arise. |
Alexis: Master of the Veilleurs
Alexis believed the Veilleurs would suffer, before the end of the millenary, of serious losses. So he decided to prepare a new team whose best members would be called to join the sect of occultists. What he wasn't prepared for, was the fact that after two or three years of successes working united, they would split appart so fast. Still, he know these Neonates are now more powerful than some Ancillae, and that they are still loyal to him. So he grooms them, because perhaps...

believe the experiment was a failure. I will prove him the

Catherine: The Black Widow
Cath's activity in the Coterie was first as a warrior: Combining the deadly Disciplines of Protean and Potence, and learning through intrigue most the Disciplines known by the other members, she soon became deadly, combining Celerity, Protean and Potence with great efficiency. While she kept her ''fame'' longer, her learning of various Disciplines didn't enable her to specialize in the most powerful powers of each Discipline. And soon, the others became more powerful, albeit not knowing it. In the same time, Dominique betrayed her as they were working for Alexis. While she avoided destruction, and taking Dominique with her, she felt wronged by the decision of Villon. While she didn't participate in the implosion of the Coterie, she didn't helped avoid it. She now works as a freelance mercenary. While she sometimes meet the other members, she doesn't consider herself one of them.
What do you think about:
François Villon: Bastard.
I was told he was once Anarch. Perhaps, but now, he is a bastard
of an Elder using his power to protect his own. I work for him
now because I have nothing else to do, and because he pays well... |
