6/18 HEY EVERYBODY!!!! I'M BAAAAAACCK!!!!! Well, that was a bit of time away from this stuff, I'm somewhat refreshed, though still tired as hell from the driving. Due to the fact of my age and that our vacation was a road trip of sorts. I'm now on the driving crew, at let me tell ya, those of you that don't know, it can be really tiring. Anyway, not on to other things. A little notice for everyone, I'm gonna start with just basic comic news, and then move onto a bit of a trip report, that is I'm gonna talk about my vacation. Now, I like to think of myself as a somewhat personal author. When I do stuff, I'm gonna let you guys know about it. Now if you don't care about this, feel free to read the comic news and then just skip the rest. Everyone else, it may be a bit, but I hope you like actually knowing what I do when I'm gone. Now, to start, no new comics YET. Right now, I'm tired and currently catching up on all the comics I enjoy reading. Plus, I'm just really not in the mood to do too much comic making currently. However, I will definately put up some new comics tomorrow and maybe thursday. Currently, I have up to about #25 scripted in my notebook, so I just have to put em together, so it'll be kinda quick going. Also, I plan to add some new stuff to the site soon, that is a guestbook and I'm gonna mess the with archives page a bit. Also, I'm starting a new policy. From now on I will also be puting these news updates up on the comic pages, so they are saved there without me making a news archive page. I think that should be good so, unless I get a complaint, its what I'm doing. Now, on to vacation, and this is a long update as is, so I'll try and be breif. Basically, we drove up to the Tetons and met up with my cousins there. This is a very beautiful area, and we did a bit of hiking and site seeing there. The view from our hotel was wonderful, a lake with a huge mountain range behind it. This is something you CAN'T see in Arizona, so it was nice. After three days there and making 2 new friends there, we moved on to YellowStone. This place is also pretty neat, though our hotel had no view or such. The geysers were neat, but I don't enjoy the smell of sulfer so that put a damper on it. On the bright side, my cousins and I can proudly say that we played Hacky sack in front of Old Faithful. Around here we did more hiking and site seeing, and aside from the smell it was pretty nice. Alot of those hot springs have some beautiful colors in them, including sky blues which I enjoyed. Now, after this, and meeting a couple more people(Hacky Sack is the universal uniter!!!!!!!) We proceeded up to Mammoth Hot Springs. This place was kinda neat, but alot more hot springs with more sulfur smell. But here we had a most interesting event. At the place we stayed, there happened to be ALOT of ground squirrels running around. One my my cousins was fooling around, seeing if the squirrels would steal a hacky sack. Well, as I bet you could guess, one did, and ran off with it down a hole. This was funny, but my cousin didn't think so, so he was throwing my brothers sandal at them, but then actually hit one. From what I could discern, with my little bit of knowledge of anatomy, it looked like he broke the things lower back, or at least crushed its lower body, cuase it skidded off without using its back legs. It later died, and my cousin was feeling bad. After the corpse was dragged out by a bird, and later dragged off by other squirrels (are they cannibels?) we left for a horseback ride, which was fun. Upon returning, the hacky sack was on the porch. We didn't quite understand this, and later came to a couple possible conclusions. 1. The squirrels feared us and wanted to appease us. 2. The squirrels were bored and just felt like giving it back. 3. My cousin had killed the bully of the group, which partially explains why the squirrels dragged off his corpse, and wanted to reward him. These are our three possibilities. If any of you come up with better ones, feel free to send em in and I'll probably post em. Well, thats about it for the trip, all that was left was driving home, which was uneventful and long. So, those of you that made it this far (*looks up the page* HOLY SHIT, thats a bit of an update) sorry for the length and expect a couple new comics tomorrow or maybe even tonight, pending on my mood. Cya all later. Scribbles |
