Saturday Club - BBC Light Programme:
Adam Faith and the Roulettes, The Raindrops, Johnny Towers, Keith Kelly, Houston Wells and the Marksmen, The Betty Smith Quintet, Arthur Greenslade and the Glee-Men.

Early August 1963:

Houston Wells and the Marksmen - "Only The Heartaches" debuts at #32 in the UK Top 40, Which included at the time featured hits by The Searchers, Elvis Presley, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Jim Reeves, Buddy Holly, The Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison, Tony Bennett, Adam Faith and The Beach Boys.

Mid August 1963:

Houston Wells and the Marksmen - "Only The Heartaches" rises in the UK Top 40 to #27, even managing to place higher than The Beatles, Tony Bennett, Jan & Dean, Cliff Richard and Buddy Holly.

Late August 1963:

Houston Wells and the Marksmen - "Only The Heartaches" drops in the UK Top 40 to #29, still managing to place higher than The Beatles, Jan & Dean, Del Shannon, The Chiffons and The Beach Boys

Early Septemeber 1963:

Houston Wells and the Marksmen - "Only The Heartaches" rises once again in the UK Top 40 to #20, this time managing to outsell even Elvis Presley.

Mid Septemeber 1963:

Houston Wells and the Marksmen - "Only The Heartaches" drops once again in the UK Top 40 to #28, still managing to outsell Elvis Presley, The Hollies, Jim Reeves and The Shadows.

1974:

Houston Wells and family move to New Zealand.

2004:

The official website dedicated to Rob Smith & Polar Music New Zealand is unveiled and put online. This quickly gets the interest in Houston Wells' career to an renewed alltime high. Plans are put in place for a release of a double album by Rollercoaster Records UK (which is still pending at this time).

9 April 2005:

The official website dedicated entirely to Houston Wells is unveiled and put online.

May 2005:

Houston Wells' son Rob Smith releases his debut album "Be Careful What You Wish For".

2005:

Houston Wells features in a exclusive write-up in Thunderbolt Magazine in the UK.

Rob Smith and Richard Anderson write and record 2 songs with Hayley Oliver, after Richard heard her music online thinking that Houston Wells would adore her sound (and he was right).

2006:

Houston Wells' son Rob Smith releases his 2nd album "Actions Speak Louder Than Words".

2 songs from the upcoming Carol Smith solo album "Tranquility" make it online with ensuing feedback and radioplay proving that this is going to be a promising release.

Quadraphonic featuring Rob Smith release a live bootleg recording titled "Live In The Marquee", they are also filmed live by Taranaki TV.

January 2007:

GONE WILD featuring and produced by Rob Smith release their debut album "GONE WILD". Work soon begins on their follow-up album "GONE WILD II" with several breaks in the writing and recording schedule (both planned and unplanned). A 2008 release date looks probable.

2007:

Houston Wells signs a deal to release a double album with Jasmine Records, his son Rob Smith completes production of the songs for this new compilation. Houston Wells also finds himself entering the modern age by acquiring his own official myspace page, which soon leads to him making contact with one of The Marksmen.

GONE WILD sign a deal to have their song "Escape" released on a compilation album called "Skater Rock Vol 1 & 2", to be released via Versailles Records in the USA alongside some of their musical heroes...a dream come true. They also sign on to contribute a song to an as yet untitled independent film, which band member Richard Anderson is enlisted to oversee all the musical contributions for this project.

Rob Smith and Richard Anderson work on upcoming musical projects with Hayley Oliver, a talented country singer in the UK (This project is christened "Something To Remember") and another collection of songs with former GONE WILD band member Nils-Ole Finbak titled "Atmospheres".

Rob Smith records various tracks for his upcoming solo projects.

GONE WILD make plans to put together a DVD title "GONE WILD & Friends: Wilder Than Your Average", which will feature documentary footage, archived footage, interviews and performance with the band together, solo and in collaboration with other artists they have worked with. Houston Wells is likely to be featured in some regards. No commercial release is set down for this project however.

December 2007:

It is revealed that the new Houston Wells double album to be released via Jasmine Records, now has a title "Then & Now: From Joe Meek To Taupo, New Zealand" and a pending release date of February 2008 looks likely. A new look is given to the Official Houston Wells Website to coincide with the albums release.

March 2008:

"Then & Now: From Joe Meek To Taupo, New Zealand", to be released via Jasmine Records is the pending release this month.

March 2008:

"Skater Rock Vol 1 & 2", to be released via Versailles Records is the pending release this month. featuring GONE WILD and their song "Escape"
