About Us

It all started back in 1999, when I had decided that I wanted my own dog - A dog to show in the conformation world.

For weeks I pleaded with my parents to let me get a dog. When they finally gave in, they asked what breed. At first I had no idea, but then an image jumped into my head - I had gone to the Ballarat dog show earlier that year and had seen a pair of Dalmatians sitting there in all their splendor - Looking so elegant, intelligent and unique. At that moment I knew what breed of dog I wanted and I didnt hesitate in replying "I want a Dalmatian!" For weeks on end, I collected every picture, every photo I could of Dalmatians and I would stick them in scrap books, in order to impress my parents, and it eventually worked when I convinced my mum to ring up various breeders out of the listing in VicDog.

I went to have a look at a litter that Diane Boyle (Dimadal Knls) had at that present time, and that very day I walked away with a deposit on a show quality black bitch. That puppy would soon become my foundation bitch and also my learning dog when it comes to showing - Dimadal Quest For Glory, known to all of those who know her - Willow.
I picked Willow up in late August, brought her home and that was the day when our lives changed for the better.

Unfortunately Willow had a hind leg injury which rendered her from moving properly for the rest of her showing days - I still showed her because we enjoyed it and Willow loved it. Even though she wasnt the best mover, she still won heaps of In Group and In Show awards at Open shows and managed to place 1st, 2nd and 3rd's at Championship shows under Australian and International judges. She has won several Reserve Challenges also.

In 2000, I ordered another bitch from Dimadal Kennels - This time a liver bitch. She would become my absolute pride and joy. Lulu joined my family in December 2000. Her show name was Dimadal UB Destiny Child. Lulu took me so far in the dog world - She was shown at 38 Championship and Open Shows combined and out of those 38 shows, she won 1st place at 31 of them. Thats a fantastic track record. Lulu was also The Dalmatian Club Of Victoria's
PUPPY BITCH OF THE YEAR 2001
winner having very good competition all the way.
Lulu went onto winning Class In Group awards, Class In Show awards and CC's to her credit - She showed her little head off and I could never ask anything more from her - She put her heart and soul into it and I will never forget that.
Unfortunately Lulu died in December 2002, after experiencing complications from an emergency caesarian. We managed to save 8 puppies from that litter and currently 3 are being exhibited at shows, all doing rather well.

In 2001, I brought down a Kirindal dog from Canberra. He was born in February 2001, I got him in April when we went up to NSW for the Dalmatian Specialty show. His name is Kirindal Paint My World and titled in 2003 (February) under NSW judge with a Best Of Breed win. The following day he won Best Of Breed under breed specialist Mrs. Shellie Marshall of Pampard Dalmatians (Vic)
Winston is a BIS, RUBIS winner and a multiple In Group and In Show winner. He is a consistent CC winner and is now enjoying his campaign with his son and daughter - Legendal UB The One (Lewis) and Legendal Destinys Child (Bella) who are 7 mths old on the 8th July. Lewis is a Baby Puppy In Group winner and Bella so far is a consistent place winner in her classes. I feel that these babies will go much further as they grow and mature into lovely dogs - Lewis is starting to take shape of what he will be and I can only say - I cant wait!

So there you have it - The summary of our existence with Dalmatians... We dont breed for quantity, but for quality. I have bred two litters since 2001 and I plan on breeding two more litter's (Legendal UB The One x Dimadal Quest For Glory) in 2004 and (N. S. Ch. Spotniks Snow Storm x Legendal Destinys Child) in 2005.

We have also added a new addition to our team - Kirindal Skys The Limit. She is a full sister to Winston (Ch. Kirindal Paint My World) but is from a repeated mating. She is liver spotted and is currently 8mths old. Skye is a Class In Group winner from limited showing in 2004. After mid June 2004, we will begin showing again on a regular basis as we have been having a break from the ring in the last 6mths (First half of 2004) so we will be back soon..
